Also another thing, if I give an example of home stuffs - A maid is paid how much ... at the most 4-5K depending on the type of work and place but same way a driver's minimum salary is 10-12K. What's the difference? A maid works more & actually has more hold over the house and its happening. For a driver he just got to sit in an a/c car drive and most of the time sit in the car protecting it till its time to drive again. So why the difference basically.

Or lets say a private tutor who comes to teach school stuff is paid in 1000's whereas a tutor who comes to teach religious stuff is paid in 100's ... Why ?? What's the difference which gives one person right to demand outrageous some of money to teach something whereas the other cannot even dream of it. Both are doing the same thing ... teach a kid to do and see things in a systematic way.

blue collar...white collar...and its variants...there is a 'skill' involved in driving which needs to be learnt...and for housework its not required...so the skill fetches u the price...also demand and supply in the industry

entertainment and sports have become the most booming industry .. inspite of recession we see in other sectors these two seem not that much affected but it has been affected some where because many projects were shut down or stopped.. guess this TRP thing is an indicator for investors so TRP should be taken seriously no 🤔

I don't know whether it is cribbing, but if there is a regulation which is not being followed, then talking about it is the way forward.

Acting is not given that much of an importance in this case, because of the nature of the work.. But if a doctor complains about working hours, that should be taken into consideration. Just because one person complained and other doctors didn't doesn't make irregular working hours right. Theirs is a profession which involves lives of other people….

Entertainment industry is different, it may not involve the same risk, but here the risk is to them. How many actors use supplements to enhance their endurance, to cope with the working hours? Many fall into drugs and alcohol abuse. In India, the art of hiding is something celebs are extremely good at, especially in such matters. But look at HW & its alarming the number of actors falling into the trap of drugs & that too at such young ages.

So, I think no matter what industry, there needs regulation even if you are paid crores!

i think there are regulations...there is a body called CINTA or something...which regulates the hrs.,...so u cant have more than 12 hrs shoot every day..etc etc...earlier they wud shoot 24-36 hrs at a stretch

Piloting is a high risk job compared to acting. In fact piloting an aircraft is riskier than driving a truck because it involves the risk of other ppl's lives.
Coming to the limit human body can exert, 12 hrs if it is difficult for the actors then it is difficult for other professionals too who put in that much hour. So cribbing about the working hours is not right on any actor/actress's part since there are other ppl too who put in that much work without being paid that much.

i understand the risk involved for pilot is much more and also their life is not easy( one of my friend is a pilot so i know the constant training and all she has to go through) and also the knowledge and talent required is high..i also feel why pilot is paid high because of the demand and supply ratio...there was a time when applicants for pilot was less compared to present time..and that time pay was much high...

acting also has a risk involved...in terms of career..its a short term life...more than this as i said the advertisers pays them huge..so in return they are paid more...its the good time of the industry...because in India TV and movies are considered as a biggest source of entertainment...may be with TV becoming less popular and social networking coming up and advertisers moving to social networking starts investing less in TV add the actor's pay reduced...
like in India cricket is the hot sport so cricketers are paid well...even for a brand endorsement they are paid in crores which is not same for other sports...and if we consider as a game cricket is one of the laziest game...

to be honest why should an actor cares about others who are getting paid less...or not just actor say why will any normal human being will care about others pay...and that too compare with someone who is paid less...most of the time esp in India people are exploited...from domestic helper to someone working in any retail shop...

if others are not paid enough then its not their fault..for them they are working enough and for them the comparison is within their industry..they feel there should be a limit to working hours...because sometimes even if they do not want they have to work

now coming to actors cribbing...they crib because they feel their industry is not organised...i agree that they should not crib in front of viewers but their cribbing is not wrong...they have a point that industry should have fixed number of working hours...
