milk -----2 litres
2 whole turmeric roots may add powder but roots are better and healthier

jaggery to taste

5 or 6 dry dates( chhuhara in hindi kharikh in marathi)

put the milk to boil add all the other ingredients too ---
dates and turmeric should be whole.

boil till the milk starts thickening and the colour changes to yellow should remain in the liquid state---remember its a drink.

switch off the fire
take out the turmeric and dates.

throw away the turmeric
chop and deseed the dates and send them back to the milk .
the dates taste fabulous.

serve HOT its delicious and will drive away the cold wether rain drenched or winter brought .

the turmeric and jagerry---are excellent for health ---may even add 3 or 4 black pepper corns but I don't .
