@Riti, agreed with you. Even I did mention it a long while ago in the forum. IPK is not original in terms of script, characterisation, what is original is the way the actors portrayed their respective characters.
I know a lot of IPK fans get offended when fans of other show complain that IPK stole their idea - but that is the truth. There was no originality in terms of storyline, what was refreshing in IPK was the simplicity in the dialogues & the actors bringing out the best/worst of their characters!
ASR had the least number of dialogues, but it took a lot of talent to project what the character is feeling without saying the words out loud. To let the audience know what your character is thinking without words is down to the actor. For once, there was subtlety in portraying an angry young man. Watching others, it feels the same (to me).
There is one scene during the DKS track when Anjali goes to ASR's room and says she wants her husband back, the change in ASRs expression was very subtle, the shock due to betrayal by the sister was perfectly done by Sobti here. It's not the long winded dialogues that make the most impact, but the silent, non-verbal communication.
Every actor playing their characters was complemented by their co-stars. Sanaya was equally brilliant in portraying the emotions of Khushi. If one of them was not up to the mark, the show would have been like every other show of this genre.
