Yes audience loves to watch the popular characters only, but for the sake of your serial, makers need to keep a balance in the story. You have to develop good parallel tracks...involve all the cast. Yes we were not happy with seeing anyone else other than Sarun. But under the excuse of fulfilling this they went too far and lost the balance in their storytelling.
How much ever I hate the side characters of BALH...they get good screen time because we cannot have Ram & Sakshi all the time...otherwise the leads will get too tired and the story would get over very soon! The comments by Akshay supported what Tanya said about makers leaving very little room for maneuver!
We would have tolerated decent parallel tracks for the sake if Arshi. But they took the easy route (dearth of creativity?!) and kept giving us mostly Arshi scenes (overutilizing sarun)...however crappy & illogical the ideas were...coz they knew that we would tolerate any crap as long as Sarun were playing it...so why bother to think of better ideas! But even though we tolerated these ideas, we were never happy with any of those tracks.
And I don't know what the CVs were smoking after June...Barun was right there...he had already extended his contract till September...but the story went haywire and none of us were satisfied...and no one is to blame other than the PH (lost interest/too busy with the new baby?). Then they gave us sheetal & mrs india. Can we be blamed for losing complete faith in the CVs after all that? And they have the gall to blame the fans for the show closure who were just too attached to the show and could not see it being further ruined!
They wanted to continue a show because they cared about 200 people's jobs? Well they should have thought about it before and managed things better so they can run the show for years! And never take such high level of popularity for granted!
Well they should all take the fans protest leading to show closure as a compliment...including the PH/CVs/directors...because it means that they gave us SUCH a beautiful show and amazing characters, that we got SO MUCH attached to it and could not let them ruin it.
