I finally caught up the all the episodes this week. The show is beginning to spring back to its original form however something seems to have shifted within me. I am constantly intrigued with how I feel about the characters. Usually when I have seen an Indian show in past, I ship the lead couple and tend to dislike anyone who causes disruption in their life. However here in MB everyone walks a very fine line and is almost grey...instead of shipping a couple...I look at this at their journey to grow as people. I do not hate anyone who causes a disruption in their life (Sultan was an exception) as long as it makes sense instead I welcome it. I actually want the couple to lose a few battles as long as they can rise up again. A very novel experience for me.
From my perspective everyone from RK to Madhu to Radha to Dips are due some hard-hitting life lessons. While everyone has redeeming qualities, they have or are making very foolish decisions.I am most disappointed in RK at this point. While in past, I saw him as an intelligent, hardworking but egoist person who braved all fate threw at him and came out winner and thus had earned the right to be bitter/judgemental and BBB all the wastrels around him...after latest fiasco...I see him as a henpecked husband who is blind to reality and his wife's flaws. He has no right to be judgmental given that he is not fair to others and is a very flawed individual himself. His acerbic comments at times seem uncalled for.
I have several questions running through my mind at this point-
How can RK point a finger at his mother when he is ready to forgive his wife for a much bigger crime and almost betrayal? How can he not feel what his mother went through in both her marriages? BTW I now understand why Radha had such ostrich like behavior to Kukuji's procalivities.
How can RK point a finger at Kukuji's work ethics when he himself is no better given all his tantrums?
How can be behave the way he did with Kukuji when he knows the truth about his father? Kukuji seemed a failure when RK compared him to his father who was paragon of virtue in past but with the truth out in open...I had expected some change in their equation.
How can RK imagine that returning back signing amount would be enough compensation for ditching a movie at last minute? How is the producer supposed to cover his losses and btw the producer for not wrong to point out RK's lack of work ethics and excesses. For this alone RK needs to go through the pain and stress of making a movie and understand the risks involved.
Why did Amar want to get RK banned and risk his movie remaining canned...he should have focused on completing his movie first and then tried to cut RK to size.
How can these people trust Dipali and actually hail Madhu for her stupidity? I am still curious why Dipali threw Sultan under the bus...because it was instinctive or because she cares for RK or because she wanted to protect her own skin.
How can Bittuji not see the seriousness of the situation with Amar and its implications?...he should have forewarned RK
