Barun Sobti as Arnav Singh Raizada of Star Plus' recently ended show Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, has captured the hearts of millions, and fans of this dashing actor want to see more of him on television again.
So what is Barun up to post Iss Pyaar Ko, and what are his plans for the future? Well, everyone knows that Barun was on a well deserved break in London. While he was out of the country, Tellychakkar.com through some reliable industry sources got to know that the actor is indeed a 'hot property' owing to his huge popularity and for the fact that his successful Star Plus show was closed down just because the actor wanted to be eased out of it.
Our source further gave us the inside information that Zee TV (after roping in the big hero Karan Singh Grover in their show Qubool Hai) is now eyeing to cast Barun Sobti in one of their upcoming shows. Having said this, all know that Barun had left Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon as he wanted to make it big in Bollywood. And if all goes well, Zee TV might sign an exclusive contract with the actor wherein he is committed to only 15 days for his television shoot, and he utilizes the other half to shoot for the Bollywood offers in hand, informed our source.
Another news that we got is that Barun has already managed to bag a movie under the banner of Eros and that Ekta Kapoor too has also shown a keen interest in casting Barun in one of her upcoming films.
Tellychakkar.com (we have been chasing this story for a few days now) had earlier called Barun when he was in London, but could not reach to him. However, the actor had then returned our call and answered our queries stating, "I am presently enjoying my break. I am not in talks for any television show as movies is my priority right now."
Today (20 December), we got to know that Barun is back in India and we did follow up by calling him again. However, Barun told us, "I returned to India this Monday (17 December) and am in Mumbai right now. But I have been running around after getting back; I will have to call you later."
One thing is for sure, that Barun has a whole lot of exciting offers in his kitty… He simply needs to sit back, weigh the pros and cons and pick the best in offer.
