I REALLY didnt get this .. Plot .. premise .. nothing .. but it seems its set back in time .. ? Although 1991 isnt that long ago .. but sets toh 1960's ka lag raha hai 😆 and Screen freeezes at Drashti/Vivian striking a "Gone with the Wind" pose 😆 ... but I am intrigued I must say. Vivian toh I guess cant act .. but Drashti is not bad .. I liked Muskan in DMG .. I wud love to see her do a sensible and serious role .. although I have a feeling Edward-wa will pour water on it more or less .. but oh well

^Ummm that was weirdly awkward rather than "cute" if you ask me😳. I mean first of all a song like "Mar jawan" and then there were those errrm "dance steps" that were clearly not suitable for such little kids. These two also performed in that press conference video and I was left like this 😳 with a face-palm watching it. I don't know but they really need to avoid such stuff on such little kids because it just looks awkward.

@new show promo--- I don't think it's based in 1991. I guess they're just showing that the story begins from that time period with the birth of the lead protagonist. eh...another LOWE story as if there aren't enough already **rolls eyes**

Word. I also thought it was awkward. 😕😆 I mean, impressive and all that these kids have that kind of strength at this age. But they had no idea what the heck they were doing. It seemed like another fun game for them...let's koodo on top of each other types. 😆 And the song choice made it even more awkward. 😳

Honestly, I don't think this kind of 'dancing' should be encouraged for such young kids. It's not even dancing really. The kids had no clue what they were doing. I blame their trainer dude. How is this a way to cultivate ART into kids? Or create that sense of enjoyment, rhythm, listening to music and all? How is this a way to help develop the kids' personalities and interests through a physically and artistically challenging activity like dance?

I have a huge problem with the way dancing is portrayed these days. Especially after DID (and this season especially). It's all so PHYSICAL. And superficial and mechanical. Oh look we can do such awesome moves and lifts etc...which is impressive no doubt, but that artistic touch seems to be missing. And DID as a show is especially encouraging this kind of superficiality in dancing.

This stuff just looks way too awkward with kids. And these were SUCH young kids too. Weird.

Although I did enjoy some of the other auditions. That kid who performed on the song 'na tum jaano na hum" remix was really good. His story was touching too, with his background and all. Even some other kids had superb energy. Like the one girl who did the lavani. lol

Also, hey everyone. :)

Hey Pallo, how are you doing? 🤗 We barely manage to chat nowadays dude :(. And Sid and you will NEVER give up on essay obsessions no? LOL

About DID, I saw one promo where there was little kid who was doing Sallu's "dirty" steps and then he was imitating him I was MAJORLY put off by how much everybody seemed to be enjoying it :S. I completely agree with you about these dance shows' song selections for kids- they show no sense of propriety considering these are kids, it is pretty cheap on the channels' part 👎🏼. I have no issues with kids learning dance at a young age but I wish the trainers exercise some sensitivity while training them and especially while choosing songs for them to perform. And I do agree, nowadays dancing, in kids or adults, seems to be lacking that SOUL in it, it no longer looks like an art and instead looks programmed. Nowadays dancing is equated to performing gymnastics mostly 😕. There is no charm to it anymore and the worst part is people seem to be completely ignoring the Indian classical and folk dance forms which signify our rich culture and heritage, nobody has the patience or the eye to appreciate the ART that goes with dancing anymore. All they want are either mechanical/robotic steps or item song like "sensuous" moves for time pass. Sometimes, it hurts me that we ourselves fail to appreciate the beauty of our culture and don't value our roots...

Ahh the film set background...interesting...Drashti will do good I have no doubt but yeah the expressionless vampy boy will ruin it in general...so the lowe story of a struggling film actress I guess...

Btw the 1990s portion they mentioned was just to show when she was BORN...that won't be where the movie is set...the setting seems present day only.

Pallo, back after a whole week? Still watching NBT or you're taking a break too? Still feeling as positive about it? lol

Re: DID LM...I haven't watched the whole epi yet so haven't seen that 'mar jaawaan' audition yet but I saw it in the press conference vid and I found it weird then only...there were some other good kids in the auditions though...not as bad a mix of contestants as it looked based on the promos etc. they showed pehle.

Most hilarious moment to me was Terence laughing at Marzi's broken hindi...I just love this combination of OVER HI-FI hindi-fied Terence meets butchering Hindi on a daily basis Marzi...lol

@Amy / Pallavi / Kavya / Anu - Well those kids can barely SPEAK ... and like you said they have NO idea as to what they are doing .. Sensuous 😆 LOL .. Abhi bhi unki masoom-ness gayi nahin ... so it didnt seem awkward to me in that sense ... awkward toh tab hota naa .. ke say a 9-13 year old was doing those kinda steps .. on songs with such innuendo .. THAT would put me off ... here I see two lil toddlers, just outta their diapers .. going all Dance Pahloan on stage ... yes Like u said .. its not dance .. its just mechanical steps and lifts and all (Just like Shakti Mohan-ji who is SOOO flexible and skilled and has stage presence but expressions and feel .. Ghanta 😆 ) but its commendable that they are THIS skilled already ... and are putting on quite a show and holding the stage for themselves so early on .. mujhe toh acha laga ... I toh cant even IMAGINE the scenario hinted in the lyrics on two lil cherubs so the song choice I dont find disturbing at all , mera dimagh uss direction mein gaya hi nahin ... all I see is two lil kids .. moving to a nice tune .. having fun :D

Speaking of Shakti Mohan ... Yeh sab sadak chaap chawanni-baazi karne ke liye inhone show choda ?! 🤢 I am SO glad she is no longer part of D3 .. but yeh kya bakwaas hai !? I thought she was going to "Study Dance" in Broadway !?!

I don't think Shakti Mohan dances without FEEL...I think she is quite good...yes there are some dancers that are more expressive than her when it comes to expressions like Vrushali but I don't think she is without FEEL...without FEEL dancer in my opinion is MOHENA from this season of DID who is just artificial in her attempts to show "feel"

As for the kids...it is the responsibility of the parents to make sure that the kids are not dancing on inappropriate stuff...just cuz the kids themselves have no idea what they are dancing on doesn't mean that non one else around them should realize it either...not everything that can be passed off in the name of "cuteness" should be done so...and those kids look UNCOMFORTABLE...not even HAPPY doing what they are doing...then what's the point?

I can see that you really dislike Shakti but to me she is one excellent dancer and I don't see the connection b/w her and these kids performing like mechanical robots.

D3 is such a bakwaas show that I say good for her she quit it...chaahe item song karne ke liye hi...she was always bigger than that show anyways.
