Shilpu I don't get why Indian soaps can't seem to manage it, they seem to fail and they always leave storyline unfinished!! It is about TRPs and that is it!

That is the reason their TRPs fall...they dont commit...they just look at weekly TRPs to see if ppl are watching but what they dont realize is htat in the end it's the long term story lines that keep viewers and bring in new ones...my case in point is of course circus...they would fluctuate one week to the other based on TRPs...and in the end they lost ALL of the audience (minus a few phankas) b/c in the end there was no plot...instead if they had just stuck it out with either side in the long term and dev the story accordingly then even the outholders might even start to appreciate...but its all about cheap thrills and easy returns...

i honestlyt hihnk they shoudl only look at quarterly TRP avgs to get a real grasph of the show...that shows running potent not wk by wk trps

I think monthly TRPs would be better, but the weekly ones are necessary for sponsors, so that is why they have them weekly but the writers should look at them quaterly but then they have pressure from the channel as well, which I think makes their brains go all haywire! 🤣 🤣

no i get that...but i think the channel should look at quarterlys too...its how American tv works...and they have sweeps right b4 the quarterlys it allows dev to the big climax...and ppl slowly draw in and then even more just before the big climax

I know quaterly makes more sense but then these are daily soaps which are on everyday of the week... so I guess it makes a difference
