LOL. I am happy to help my first IF tutor thingy LOL. Okay lets do Transition metals then Thermodynamics or whatever you prefer I really don't mind?
Is there any particular stuff on Transition metals your stuck on so we can target them first?

LOL your right it takes a little more time then the rest. Okay we can do general properties first! and we'll move to complex ions and how they are formed okay?

.

Okay so on the periodic table the transition metal block is actually from Titanium to Copper and will explain why later with the definition. Scandium and Zinc are not Transition elements but D-block elements which you learnt at AS right? They are all D-block elements because they have their highest energy electron in the 3d orbital and as you go more down the groups they will go on to 4d as well. But Titanium to copper are D-block elements but we say they are transition elements. Electrons as we go across the group are being added to the 3d sub-level.
Hope your getting it hope it's not too much any questions please and do ask!

Now the elements from titanium to copper have some physical properties! They are metals so if you think of metals and their properties like being good conductors of electricity and heat and being strong. They are hard and shiny and they have high melting and boiling points!

So all these physical properties ^ and plus being failr low in chemical reactivty makes these metals useful for us in the industry.
Examples: Iron(and it's alloy): for vehicle bodis like cars and truck and also to reinforce concrete..
copper: Water pipes
Titanium: Jet engines because they can withstand high pressure and tempertaures as well.

Thank you sweety! You are getting it that's great.
Exactly! Ti to Cu are also classified as transition elements because of their d-block configuration!
