I was wondering if someone who has a good grip of urdu can translate the title track for us..I know what the words are, but meaning patah nahin..It goes like:

Woh Humsafar Tha, Magar usse humnawai na thi
Ke Dhoop Chao ka alam tha Magar Zudai na thi

What does humnawai mean, anyone?

@Usha...i am not sure of each & every word in the title track...but i am sure the last line is

ki dhoop chaon ka aalam raha, judaai na thi

Aalam means atmosphere as in it was a tense atmosphere... khamoshi ka aalam...getting it?

Kiran correct me here if Im wrong...

Woh humsafar tha magar , ussey humnawaayi na thi

Humnawaayi here means...agreement...means we were not in agreement. So though we were together, we were not in agreement

kay dhoop chhaaon ka aalam raha...judaayi na thi

which probably means...there were off and on days...or maybe there were squabbles but we were never separated...something like that. Im sure Kiran will give you a better explanation.

thnx Tanu i was always doubtful abt humnawai word as in thought it cud be something i misheard...

i feel what the 2 lines mean is...

the person who was supposed to be a lifelong partner, didnt agree with me/didnt share the same opinions...

the love played hide & seek, glaring like sun sometime & hiding behind cloud cover at other times, but it wasnt a permanent goodbye.

a feeble attempt...but hope u get the drift...

Edit: Soni...u cant seriously be my third twin!!!! we both into humsafar, Asher, music & seems hindi as well...

I'll put Kajal as my eyes wont be able to tolerate the sting of surma...mebe they are using the fact that Kajal has water element & doesnt sting, but surma is made of pure dust(i believe it has camphor too) & stings as a metamophor here...mebe it means that I am trying to live with the situation, but the hurt is truly unbearable...but i am not sure with this line...
