@Soumya - looks like we are on the same wavelength about the look and feel of the show 😊 - definitely pleasing to the eyes.

Regarding the sets - I think the show has been shot in a 5-star hotel - don't you think so? The bedrooms have such a hotel feel about them...

I like the fact that there are no forced comedy tracks, no 13-14 characters and no filler episodes - the main cast dominate each and every episode and even if an episode feels filler-ish, it is still about the leads...

Goes on to show how starved we all are for a well-made show, with decent looking ppl, meaningful dialogues and a storyline to talk about, not to mention us knowing that the story has an ending!

Coming back to the show, I am surprised that Sara's mum is not pro-active - i.e. she knows Sara's behaviour is wrong, granted she may not know all the details, but can't she have a conversation with Asher about her daughter's obsession? At the moment (ie until episode 6 - I am yet to watch the latest episode), she doesn't seem to go beyond warning Sara (and we know what good that's doing...)...may be these are the problems of not sticking to the original story...

Asher's mum I am not so sure about - I get this niggly feeling that she will be trouble...I can't read her, but there's something about her that makes me nervous (like Mrs Danvers in Rebecca)...

I like how they are developing the relationship between Asher and Khirad...string of small small incidents adding to their understanding and coming as a revelation for Asher...

OK, one question that's nagging me - are Sara's mum and Asher's mum sisters? I couldn't make out properly when they were having that conversation way back in the first episode...if so, that makes Asher and Sara maternal cousins - are such marriages allowed in their culture?

Hey Usha...same pinch..we sure are on the same wavelength here:)😊 and agree with everything you said regarding us gushing abt things that we Indian viewers should get in every Indian serial-alas but we don't!😡

Abt Sarah's mom-I donno if she bothered me...but you are right, she should have been more pro-active..but you know when someone is soo adamant and reckless, and focused in their obsession, its very difficult to get their attention and get them to listen to you...I actually feel for her mom, must be killing her to see her daughter like that...on second thoughs she is partly responsible for her daughter's nature-parenting and excessive pampering! 😕

I have similar feelings mom Asher's mom-like I said she's a very difficult person to get a read on😵

A point you raise abt Asher and Sarah's alliance-and yes their moms are siblings...and as far as I know, I might be totally wrong here, such alliances are okay in their culture.

Hi guys...Usha seeing u afta a long time...🤗...carry on u 2...i will catch up with the show as the day progresses...

i think i will post my takes on the epis as i go...bcoz i want to remember how each epi affected me later on...i have a gut feeling this show is going to feature high in my list of personal fav TV shows!! I am also making a play list with all the epis & will make it public so that anyone who wants to c it all in one go doesnt have probs...

tc all...& Kiran...u have to do the Urdu translation for us pls! I agree that translations lose the original flavour...but learning the lingo & reading the book is a long time proj...& i want to know abt it all ASAP...

Happy endings are good, but sad endings draw me too...will peep into Dastaan as well...

i know we are awaiting epi 8 now...but i will put my take on epi 1 & 2 here...sowie guys..please bear my bak bak...

Epi 1: The show i feel is all about positive insight on relations...how they are...how they shud be.

a. Baseerat loves his sister but is engrossed in his life & when the need comes, provides support too. Yes...u believe in the sibling bond in a world(reel & real) where some such bonds are abused by either or both the parties. Farida & her sis share a nyc cordial relation too...so it enforces the positive message.

b. Then u witness Farheeda's affection & concern for Baseerat...yup she is his wife but she does not meddle betw him & his sis & actually doesnt get swayed by her own sis's words.That, ladies, is a v diff sort of reel wife...she mite change as i see the track progress, but i like the hubby-wife relation depicted here. (just speaking abt 1st epi here)

c. Then the parent-child relation has been depicted so beautifully as well...respect & love on both sides of the equation & in all families shown. There was so much of scope to add diff tried & tested formulae & boy...i am pleasantly surprised that none of them have been applied..phew

Asher...again OMG!! I hav never thought abt my preferences before meeting u ladies..like u know really really think & i can say that apart from looks, the eyes, the voice is another factor which makes a guy appeal to my sensibilities. Fawad's deep rich voice & the character he plays here is working for me big time!😍

The "tha" in title track is not sitting well with me...i hope it is on behalf of Sara!😛

Epi 2: When Baseerat asks Asher to marry Khirat, it was so downplayed. No OTT behaviour by either of them...& that is a making of a stellar show! 👏

Now second point which hit me while watching this epi...I have to admit here...the background score is like a balm for me...i am loving it & even Asher-Sara scene did not hit me too inversely bcoz of it.👍🏼

My heart went out to Asher.. cud feel his dilemma & him being sucked into emotional backmail was sad...but OMG...he looks so good in that t-shirt & white pants!!☺️

And though Farheeda did cross some limits, i did identify with Farheeda here.

That Sara is becoming loonier(how some terms stick!😆) is apparent...but i guess possessive lovers behave like this??😕

btw...agree with all of u...I want their costume designer to help me out with my wardrobe too!!Loving the clothes...& the sets too are lovely...agree with Usha...cud be a hotel or a resort...ok...me carries on...

Epi 3: OMG! Khirat overheard Asher's rant & she wasnt a typical devi types!! She articulated her true feelings to her mom...heck i felt her humiliation too!! I was praying for Asher to overhear the convo betw the mom-daughter just then!!

Phew...sooo happy Asher was saved from the clutches of maniac Sara just in nick of time..slashing wrists & all!!

But wasnt she convincing?!!!! I repeat...all the actors are brilliant here!

Khirat's cries affected my tear ducts too...but she looked truly beautiful with her hair out & down.

ki dhoop chaaon ka aalam raha..judaai na thi...if the song is on behalf of Khirat, waiting for the dhoop part now!😳

Epi 4: Jeez...this Sara woman is giving me creeps!! Her mom was right...Asher shud have stayed away from her!!

Farheeda...i am liking this woman with every epi!!!...dont ans me...but is she going to do a makeover for Khirat..not that she needs it...but, lemme watch & see...

OMG OMG!! Khirat in Asher's room...then them having small talks in front of the TV...mai paagal hoo...but i'm loving it big time!! & both are book lovers...!!!ROFL...so what if one reads it upside down...🤣

Epi 5:Italian it is for dinner for me too tonite...OMG...he stares at her too now!! Wants to talk...connect...take back yur words u phool..😛.& she will start opening up!!

U know i have to say here that i am missing the Indian TV formula of characters eavesdropping...y doesnt Asher or anyone at all hear Khirat's few confessions to her aunt or her friend? wait wait...i think i think i'll have to eat my words..he finally overhears the mamu-bhanji convo! Lub story begeens!!Hawwwt...phew fan plsss!!! ☺️
