@Bold: Yep that expression gives me goosebumps no matter how many times I watch the scene.
Waisay who is that guy dressed up as a woman (I think he was in ik chabbi hai pados may?) the one who was saying kya rishta hai pati kay kaatil say.. I mean who is he in the show😆 LOL that's Durgesh...quick recap about him...he is basically a man who is a cross-dresser and a bhakt of some local devi...creep-o hai basically😆...his parents didn't know that he lived this dual life...sometimes dressing up as a woman and praying in the temples...his rishta was fixed with Gulaal by their parents when they were kids...later on Gulaal-Vasant find out his truth and reveal it to his parents and his father dies of a heart attack or something so he vows revenge on Gulaal and her family for life...that is why he's being shown in that flashback.
HE was the one who paid a truck driver to ram his truck into the jeep carrying Vasant and the family and his man saw Dushyant throwing Vasant into the river later on...so he knew the truth and taunted Gulaal and Dushyant with this knowledge and threatened to reveal it to Kesar one day...
Woahhh NB is GOOOD... the way he portrays the anger and the helplessness.. after Gulaal nominates dushyant's name for the sarpanch thing Haina??? The guy really surprised me the more I watched him in the show...I didn't EXPECT him to be THIS good😆😆...oooh you're close to the pareshani scene now! You're gonna love that even more!

Yeah and major props to Manasi for playing her like that...Gulaal has her selfless aspects but her God complex is ultimately a major character flaw and that is what leads to a lot of conflict b/w her and Kesar too... Yup major props to her ... true that aspect actually lead to a lot of conflicts and added to the complexities
Yeah he did, in a sense cuz of what his friends in school started telling him and what he heard ppl saying around the village...cuz technically Gulaal was his wife but they both never spoke of it in those terms much but when he hears ppl saying it, he starts taking it more seriously. Aaah righttt!
Acha so MB notices the change in his behaviour and send him off to boarding.. First reason they know second obviously not haina? Mainly, MB was never in favor of the deeyarvattu cuz he told Gulaal from the beginning that she's miscalculated and hasn't thought about what will happen when Kesar grows up cuz he's technically her husband...but Gulaal didn't take his warning seriously...and Kesar was around 12 at that time, on the cusp of being a teenager...and it wasn't like anything overtly changed but MB basically could sense that Kesar's perception of Gulaal as his wife was solidifying more in his mind and he would claim that sooner or later more seriously as an adult so he thought it prudent to send Kesar away during this transitionary period. They would not let her live in the village if she did not do the deeyarvaatu? Oh right acha he was 12 at that time...
Aww perfectly said, Zainu! THAT is the beauty of it...simple complixity, complex simplicity...a paradox in a sense but then that is what they are...and yes there are absolutely no cheap thrills whatsoever...the entire evolution of the relationship was shown very sensitively, classily...and that is what gives it a very epic feel...ultimately it's so much beyond a mere 'love story'...it's a very very special relationship b/w two human beings bonded on a level that is almost beyond soulful as well...I like to think it's a relationship that belongs in it's own realm... I know its the sensitivity and class with which the evolution of the relationship was shown that makes it go beyond the realm of a mere love story... Wohi tou bestest part NO cheap thrills whatsoeve
Thank yaar! It's a bit hectic abhi because last week Friday tak toh they had orientation crap going on. And then Friday ko they did all the classes that they would normally do on Wednesday and Thursdays together with the ones they'd do on Friday. And they assigned homework on all of them. Which means, regularly jis cheez ko karne k liye we'd have a week, we now have only like 3-4 days. I mean stuff is already due tonight. Toh is liye I'm running around like a headless chicken. Upar sey I've started tutoring to make some cash while I study, toh every other day or so I have to go off for about 4 hours to teach Genetics and Organic Chemistry. Bass isi sab mein hosh nahi reh raha abhi. But once the routine sets, I should be around here a lot more. Aww I hope you catch a break soon yaar🤗...yeah hopefully once the routine sets in, you can relax a bit more.
About Kesar's expressions.. Did you notice how his breath caught when she first covered his mouth. Yes...there was a stillness that came over him, a hint of a surprise for a second too before the pain and resignation shows again as he removes her hand and tells her ki isse kya hoga.
. And then later when she said jana zaroori hai? It was like he KNEW where this was going, but he couldn't DARE to believe k that was actually happening. So he circles the issue some more with the main kahan jana chahta hoon, tum mujhey bhej rahi ho.. And then she circles the same point and he gets impatient - with his abhi bhi ghuma phira k baat kar rahi ho.. I mean, man.. That was BRILLIANT the way NB showed that turmoil Kesar was facing.. Between wanting to hope and being so so SO scared to even dare. EXACTLY! I LOVED that! You could literally SEE him battling b/w wanting to hope and scared to hope...with each bit that she would manage to say, you could see the emotion building up in his eyes even as he says that she doesn't give him a seedha jawaab until ofcourse THE moment when the breath LITERALLY rushes out of his body as he realizes what she's just said...implicitly...he's literally in shock for a solid moment...like he can't breathe...can't believe what he's hearing...and then slowly he starts to process it, his EYES in that moment...ahh I'm SO in love with that transition...this avi😍
And when she said mat ja Kesar he was so sad for her.. Because again, while he believed that she was sad that he would leave, there was still a part of him that was not ready to believe k she was stopping him for herself.. He was still just sad at having to leave her and see her so sad because she was loosing her friend, alliance/confidante. It was only when she said k SHE wasn't used to living WITHOUT him anymore that it really hit him full force. The gravity of the situation and what she was asking/telling him.. And then she just collapses on his chest and he just looks on shocked, turns a little to the heavens.. Yes, I loved the way he looked up for a bit...ahh such GENIUS nuances in this scene...I can go on and onnn Man, the disbelief, relief, pain.. It still gives me goosebumps and I don't even have to be watching the scene.. Oh man..
And the fact k the build up to this point was shown so AMAZINGLY from April.. That we got to LIVE the journey WITH Kesar is what makes this so much more awe-inspiring. Because now I can feel Kesar's relief, happiness, disbelief, pain too.. And that really is something.. Exactly...this entire journey from April has been SUPERB...and the fact that it culminated with such a FANTASTIC emotional high is something I'm really grateful for.
*sigh* Oh man.. I'm going to miss KG but I think I'll be re-watching their episodes/scenes for a long time to come because this time we have closure.. And a well deserved one. Word! We got a FAB closure this time...and that is what makes me happy that we can cherish this story as a whole.
Ah man.. Time to go give the last quiz for the day and then head off to bed.
Good night guys! 🤗Anu and Zainab jee *submissive muh* 😆 G'nite yaar! Take care!
They would not let her live in the village if she did not do the deeyarvaatu? Oh right acha he was 12 at that time...Yeah they weren't letting her live in the house as Vasant's widow, that is why she did the deeyarvattu with Kesar...basically Motabha and Paanbaa wanted Gulaal to move on in life, and remarry and not waste her life away like this but she refused to do so and insisted that she stay in this house, this village to fulfill Vasant's dream.
Awww poor Kesar... his vulnerability.. He is scared to ask her bhi.. Again brillliant performance by NB!.. On scene 35... this is pakka the last one before I leave😆 LOL ok but you have to tell me what you think of the scene before you leave!
