Yeah that's one of my all time favs...those were the first Gulaal avis I used too...which ended up being the reason everyone asked me also why I was watching THIS show after trashing it so much...haha ya I do remember that😆... I remembered those as your first Gulaal avis but was not totally sure

Pareshani scene is Scene 35 in that account...from May 23rd/24th waale epis...and waise toh things start heating up from there only storyline wise but the real high point is in June...ahhh I miss that time...slowly but surely I got SO hooked to this show...lol Oh abhi thoda sa duur hai... I was thinking of getting some sleep and continue uth kar.. Acha a little question though I promised to myself no more random questions.. Reva is Kesar's sister? And Yogesh is Gulaal's brother?

Yep, cinematography is veryyy classy! Oh and you mentioned the bg music naa...yeah that tune of Kesar's especially I really like. Ya the tune of Kesar is awesome and over all all bg music is good and cinematography is very classy indeed

KG toh it's hard to even sum up what they are...there is just SO much to them...complex emotions that drive them...very fascinating to watch...I love that the characters were grey, made mistakes and that is what drove the storyline...the consequences of their character traits, the actions...I'm a huge fan of the way this show unfolded it's plot especially regarding K and G. I know yaar especially how it creeped you out and then the way it evolved and the way it was handled won you ever... You are right the complexity makes it intriguing and fascinating.. Both the characters and also the way they are unfolding the plot

Ohhh you posted in the MB forum today? LOL then toh your Sonali must be very happy! haha hehe woh bechari tou waisay bhi happy hi hoti passive participation yani clicking like say... She made a beautiful post today also she uses such classic and beautiful songs in her analysis... But on a more serious note meray post na karney ya na karney ya like click na click karney say I doubt kisi ko khushi hoti hai... itni imp bhi nahi mein😆

Yeah HC's improved but still he keeps doing these lame gimmicky shows...I will say that NB is a better actor than him. Oh yup I agree NB is a far better actor than him and probably the choice of roles helped him too and DP tou I watch for time pass .. If I did not get the channel tou mein kabhi bother na karti

LOL Zainu, you are most welcome to ask as many random questions as you want...Yep, Reva is Kesar's older sister and there was some drama regarding her marriage at one point but later she fell in love with Yogesh who is Gulaal's brother and Gulaal got them married...all this happened pre-leap.

You're gonna go sleep now? Aww yeah you should take a break and you can catch up later...lol...

Oh you didn't watch this scene? LOL yeah it's a continuation of him tending to her while she's sick...he makes garam doodh and stuff for her...lol and basically falls asleep at her feet.

Haan Pallo gaayab hi ho gayi...I guess she must have gotten busy with work and school...but maybe she'll drop in one of these days again.

And yeah Fivr toh deffo super mehnti baccha hai...lol...unlike us lazy souls ;-) lol

Khair you know not once in all the scenes... did i even think of the age difference.. She honestly does not even look that older than him... Ya shayad mein nay pre-leap KG scenes nahi dekhay

It's difficult to explain, Zainu...pre-leap, she did nurture him since he was a child...but it can't be classified as a mother-son like relationship either because Gulaal has played just too many roles in his life...even when he was a child, she was literally everything to him...his guardian, his best friend, his playmate...they fought like children, were mega protective for each other, watched out for each other and there was just constant role reversal going on many times...it's hard to explain and only watching it would give you a better idea...haan fact remains that a few ppl in the family like Daaibaa etc. tried to refer to Gulaal as "Yashoda" sometimes in regards to Kesar but she was the only one who said that...Gulaal herself never behaved that way...and Kesar toh phir Kesar hi hai...that's all the explanation you need when it comes to him😆

Best explanation I can give now having watched the show as a whole is that Gulaal personifies all the roles a woman plays in a man's life...she can mother him, protect him, love him, cherish him, nurture him...and G and K shared that unique relationship...it's awkward for some cuz she knew him when he was a child...if they were of equal age, these very roles wouldn't be questioned...although if you think about it, in every relationship a woman mothers a man in some sense...Gulaal makes you perceive these relationships from a broader perspective because of how sensitively the subject is handled.

But yeah, post-leap also there doesn't seem like there is much difference cuz if you go by the show's timeline...Gulaal is 29/30 after the 10 year leap...she's obviously not going to look BUDDHI...so yes, they look similar of age although Kesar's boyishness in comparison to her is obvious in many places but honestly after a point, their ages are immaterial...you just view them as two individuals so deeply connected in so many ways.

That is so true... if you do think about it... In every relationship a woman mothers a man in some way... that mother is inside every woman whatever her age or her relationship may be

And till the point I can safely vouch for the sensitivity with which they handled this... no way did they cheapen it

Oh and I did watch the deyarvattu scene as well... powerful acting by Manasi.. Chota Kesuda was just too adorable for words and ya in that part I saw Chota Kesar and Gulaal interactions... and I get sense of what you are saying... And it is the complexity of the relationship and all the dynamics involved... aah this is just too fascinating.. Even a not so good at analyzing person like me is tempted to analyze and savour my way through every layer

And wow beautifully summarized 👍🏼Gulaal personified all the roles a woman plays in a man's life and Kesar toh phir Kesar hi hai😆

I know at 29/30 she is not going to look buddhi... and yup his boyishness is obvious in many places but they do look of similar age... but then ya beyond a point the ages become irrelevant..

Aaah uss waqt say I am like aik aur scene bas aik aur phir jaati hoon on scene 28 now hehe.. Lo jee talli ki behn numa ma nay kaha hai jald say jald say Kesar aur Talli ki shaadi karwa deni chaheye

LOLLL I can totally understand...even I'm going back and watching the scenes now...haha you get pulled in again and again.

Oh the Kesar-Talli shaadi thing was Gulaal's biggest obsession...lol...asli mazaa tab shuru hota hai when Kesar finds out that she had planned this all along...that's when the fireworks REALLY begin...haha

Oh the deeyarvattu scene...yep Manasi was brilliant...and Ali Haji who played chhota Kesuda was fab too...there's a few scenes I can post for you later on once you're done with your catching up that will give you a better sense of the relationship that Gulaal shared with chhota Kesar too...thing is, Zainu...as it is their relationship was very unique from day one...the way Kesar perceived her, felt that instant right over her and Gulaal too just had a special connection with him which was displayed more back then with all the affection she showered on him...but later on everything got all the more complicated with the deeyarvattu...that changed everything and became a major defining moment especially for Kesar...

Oh ya from the deevarvattu scene only I got the sense that right from the beginning as a child bhi Kesar shared a unique relationship with Gulaal... and ofcourse deevarvattu must have changed everything... and plus later that whole thing about Dushyant being the murderer and Gulaal knowing about it ... which led to all that angst.

Oh yup hopefully as soon as I finish catching up with these scenes I will get to the pre-leap scenes!

Yeah cuz you must have noticed that Kesar's every thought, his entire world revolves around Gulaal...whether it is his attempt to hate her or his helplessness in being drawn towards her despite everything...gussa ho, pyar ho, sab Gulaal se hi hai...toh when Gulaal drops the Talli bomb on him, it's like the ground fell out from beneath his feet😆...

Btw have you noticed how he always asks her..."aur tu?"...it's one of the simplest yet more touching exchanges b/w them I feel...and it drives home the point that she is busy thinking about everyone else but herself but his only focus is always on her..."aur tu?"...Tu khush hai? Tune mujhe yaad kiya?

Yeah Zainu, each point in the story added on a layer of complexities and it was done wonderfully...there is a transition period after the deeyarvattu wherein the GK bond deepens but tension grows from two sources simultaneously just before the leap...one, Kesar starts to more seriously claim Gulaal as his wife and even in his childishness, these are early warning signs to Motabha that Kesar is growing up...and two, he finds out the truth about Dushyant/Gulaal and that he isn't able to deal with it at that age and acts out in such a manner that MB decides to send him away to school.

And he starts writing letters to her then which he never posts...it is so sooo sensitively shown, Zainu...that entire portion when he shuns Gulaal and refuses to meet her whenever she comes to his school but he's always hiding behind a wall watching her as she leaves.

Oh yup hopefully as soon as I finish catching up with these scenes I will get to the pre-leap scenes!

Ya all emotions and feelings revolve around her only... Now I am waiting for the scenes when the talli bomb is dropped on him

Ya I remember you using that in your sig box... And sigs may bhi na? But then I was like ya he said it more than once and was wondering kaun say waley scene kay sig pay used 'aur tu'... And Gulaal is so selfless without being an oh so mahaan devi

Yeah Zainu, each point in the story added on a layer of complexities and it was done wonderfully...Wohi na the beauty how it has been done wonderfullythere is a transition period after the deeyarvattu wherein the GK bond deepens but tension grows from two sources simultaneously just before the leap...one, Kesar starts to more seriously claim Gulaal as his wife and even in his childishness, these are early warning signs to Motabha that Kesar is growing up...Oh so as a child also he started to more seriously claim Gulaal as his wife and two, he finds out the truth about Dushyant/Gulaal and that he isn't able to deal with it at that age and acts out in such a manner that MB decides to send him away to school. Acha so MB notices the change in his behaviour and send him off to boarding.. First reason they know second obviously not haina?

And he starts writing letters to her then which he never posts...it is so sooo sensitively shown, Zainu...that entire portion when he shuns Gulaal and refuses to meet her whenever she comes to his school but he's always hiding behind a wall watching her as she leaves.
Oh ya Gulaal finds a letter na.. so they did show that phase with chota kesar writing letters and shunning Gulaal

And you know what I am really liking is the fact that inspite of all the complexity and undercurrents of angst and tension... There is this simplicity.. unique simplicity... that acceptance... woh haq say.. I mean as if it comes naturally... to both Kesar and Gulaal.. Its not like oooh she opened her hair oooh he is staring at her ooh he is noticing how beautiful she is.. I mean there are no cheap thrills of any sorts... Its just that connection as two individual souls...Although the circumstances and situations are anything but normal... But there is something so normal about they behave with each other...

The complex simplicity or simple complexity (whatever we may call it )of their relationship is oddly fascinating and captivating
