I think this situation is exactly what Shonda wanted. She said she believes ppl will talk the whole summer long about what happened in the SF. So everything that comes out is on purpose made so vague, that almost every outcome next season is possible. It's just one of Shondas kinda sick games with the fans.

I KNOW RIGHT? he didnt even give up the trailor in s two when he ws with Addie and there ws sort of no chance of him and Mer he himself wiped that chance out but he kept the trailer coz he felt Mer he felt her in his love he knew she loved him he felt he breathed their love and even if he ws with someone else it was their love he lived...but in s four he ws willing to give up the trailer nd it wasnt because HE didnt want to be with Mer nopes there ws nothing else he wanted but day by day he ws loosing hope he ws loosing faith that they wld be able to make it...its beautiful s four is just BEAUTIFUL...its amazing how when Mer lost faith he held on he had hope and the minute he lost faith she stood up and believed and fought for his faith...even if it meant fighting against him fighting with him she ws actually fighting FOR him...s four is just...AAAH...NO WORDS
