The Vampire Diaries writers are going to butcher Damon/Elena during the next season; I just know it. Why do tween shows have to rely so heavily on superficiality? TVD has released a preview clip of the couple for the upcoming season premiere in September. It shows Elena looking for Damon at his house. Suddenly, he shows up naked. She gasps and looks away; he reminds her with a flirtatious smirk that she should learn to knock, for he could be indecent. I mean, really? He was on his deathbed in the previous episode! He had professed his love to her. In spite of being in a relationship with another guy, she gave him a goodbye kiss thinking that it would be their last encounter and she wouldn't have to face the consequences of that kiss. Two seconds later they found out he was going to live after all. That wouldn't classify as an award winning cliffhanger, but still you would expect something meaningful to be released as the "preview clip" after that. Who wants to see a sexually charged scene that outlines the physical tension surrounding their love/hate relationship? There's a time and place for everything. Clearly, these folks missed the memo.

I know nobody watches TVD here but I needed an outlet to vent. :P

@bold: Tell me about it.

I just watched the preview after I read your post. Disappointing! Somewhere I did see this coming at the end of last season. I still hope TVD turns out decent. I really don't want to give up on the show. Sometimes I think the best love stories are ones that are very distant, silent, slightly boring, yet there is something more it, which isn't expressed. When the leads know they can count on each other without the stares, trip-catch, and whatnot. When it comes to TV shows the couple should never get together, because that's when everything goes wrong. I wish they were more realistic. Life isn't full of sunshine and cute moments.

@Vasu: I read your post! I'm on Episode 16 right now and I LOVE the show! You can fully count me in for next season. I love strong females, so this show is a treat for me. The show is affecting so much that every night I have a dream of kicking and fighting like Nikita :P LOL! Apart from Nikita-Alex I'm a fan of NM - I love how they can count on each other. I also like how there is more to them than meets the eye, but they choose not to express it. I also like AN pair. The guy seems sweet!

I watched the Hollywood Reporter segment with all the top women in TV - SMG, Maggie Q, Anna Torv et al...and I am so glad that finally we are seeing a lot more kickass females who actually have a role to play rather than being eye candy. Even though I'm not a massive fan of Anna Torv (mostly I think she's wooden, except - weirdly - when she's playing Fauxlivia; but even so, Fringe would not be the same without her).

I had to come back to your message, because I loved @bold. I like how they aren't waiting for some guy to come and rescue them. They aren't damsel in distress. It is always to see a female follow "Be your own hero" rule!

@Sarah: Are you still following CT? I feel like there might be some hope, and Khushi will be back in office soon (*fingers crossed*). Am I the only one disappointed with Shyam being Anjali's husband? I just wish they had a better guy. Maybe they can show how Anjali gets divorced now or something. She doesn't deserve that guy!

@ GG - I don't want to give up on TVD either. I am hoping it will not tank that badly that we'd have to quit the entire show altogether - not this soon at least. *fingers crossed* Apart from the D/E stuff the rest of the storylines are okay. I just wish that their first conversation after the kiss had involved more talking and less flirting. Oh well, let's see how it goes. Me thinks the writers are just cashing in on Ian and Nina's real life romance. :P

I haven't watched CT all week. Been reading the written updates only. Today's update gives me some hope. If she joins his company again, maybe the storyline will move ahead. I'd take their office scenes over the current nonsense any day. Shyam is a freak, man. I think Naman Shaw is supposed to enter the show as Khushi's BFF. Maybe he will hook up with Anjali after she kicks Shyam to the curb. Kinda ironic, since Naman and Daljeet competed against each other in Nach Baliye.

I loved the sunset backdrop that they used here.

Edit: Or was it sunrise? I can't remember, lol.

Yeah I loved this bit...it was sunrise...Imran was unable to sleep the whole night and Arjun and Kabir had slept in the car and after that Arjun walks over to Imran to talk to him...the convos b/w the friends were so NATURAL...

Re: Abhay...Yeah I've seen Aisha...lol and he was very good in the movie...the best thing about it to be honest😆...I think he's gotten a whole new fanbase thanks to his role in that movie...the chick-lit type of fanbase😆 cuz otherwise Abhay's always doing dark/brooding type roles...even ZNMD was a refreshing one in that sense that it was a lighter role than what he usually does.

I'm also glad that the Imran-Salman track didn't get a sunshine-and-rainbows type of happy ending where the father accepted his abandoned son with open arms after he saw the "error of his ways". Some things just don't work in your favour in real life no matter how badly you want them to. Salman was careless and indifferent towards Imran for years, and he didn't change his outlook even after he met his son. Kind of realistic, because there are fathers like Salman in real life.

Totally agree...I also loved the way they handled the Salman-Imran track...not a typical happy ending cuz not everyone reunion is perfect sunshine and rainbows...Salman was who he was and he was upfront about his viewpoint...indifferent to this son till the very end...although I found him to be an enigmatic/eccentric character too...the way he said that one line to Imran about how his hands are like his...little interesting touches added to a very awkward interesting meeting b/w a father and son...Imran was very much like his father uptill that point when he realizes how much flippancy and indifference can hurt someone so deeply...which is why he later apologizes to Arjun too...and I loved how that realization was shown so subtly...and so PERFECTLY...with the prelude of my fav. poem from the movie..."Dil aakhir tu kyun rota hai? Duniya mein yun hi hota hai"...Especially the "Kyun tu aise pal khota hai?" line...makes you realize that you must cherish the moments you have...and not lose them while dwelling on your sorrows since those too shall pass ultimately.

I just realized that the script wove each "challenge" bit around the basic elements of water (Arjun - underwater diving), air (Imran - sky diving) and finally earth (Kabir: the bull festival) and ofcourse each challenge set each of the characters free in significant ways at each point in the story.

Today's episode of Gulaal literally brought tears to my eyes. And that rarely happens.. Especially when Dushyant apologizes to JK and says k aap aur baap ji bad dua dey k yaad mat karna.. *sigh* If this is the last we're going to see of SS, then all I have to say is that this was one HELL of a parting performance. He is a brilliant, brilliant actor and I really do wish we get to see more of him and Dushyant. But in case we aren't that lucky, I'm glad we got yesterday and today with respect to his performance. Because really, today hands down belongs to Dushyant and Motabha.. And Jamuna too.. *sigh*

I can't say much more on the episode, I'm still a bit overwhelmed. But I do have to say, I agree with you Anu - this new PB and her "vamp-ish" looks are absolutely annoying! I wanted to smack her when I saw the precap.. Pata nahi how I'll put up with her wide-eyed "evil" looks tomorrow.. 🤢 I miss the old PB and her subtle performances.. *sigh*

Yay! I knew you would like it. NIkita is just so...badass. And Maggie Q is awesome in real life too. You know these are all her own stunts? She doesn't use a double. She is just so...inspiring. And her relationship with Shane (Michael) off set is adorable 😳 you should read some of their back and forth tweets...they are cute!

I too love the silent, ill-expressed love that's between Nikita & Michael. I found it mildly intriguing the first time I watched the season to see that they didn't just do a "NIkita & Michael fancy each other but never acted on it"...but that Nikita, from the word go, called it love. She loved him, even during the worst times of this season. I particularly love Coup De Grace, where she and the Prince have this lovely parallel in their relationships and Nikita wishes Michael would stand for her the way the Prince stands for his gf. When the Prince tells her "people in love don't try to kill each other", she just gives him this blank stare, like how could he possibly know real love? 😆 Echoes (16) is a great episode - won't spoil it if you haven't seen it yet but the ENDING!!!! ZOMG! And then Covenants (17) is possibly one of my favourite eps ever.

I love the way that Nikita uses flashbacks - Michael flashes, Nikita-Alex flashes and Nikita-Michael flashes - to inform the present story without detracting from it. They always add a particular importance to the current scene, and I love how a lot of the time, Nikita and Michael end up using the same phrases and words. Clearly, things that Michael taught NIkita when he was training her, she is now teaching Alex.

Ooh, I'm so glad I can discuss this with you now! Can't wait for season 2 when we can discuss it by each ep!!
