LOL Yep that's the exact show! 😆 It was a pretty bakwass show on the whole. I was only watching for this guy's character. It was mostly his acting that kept me hooked to the mystery behind his character. That and this show aired at a convenient time when me and my parents used to watch desi tv. 😆 But yeah he used to dress up as a tawaiff (spelling)...people who do mujra. Since his girlfriend from the past was a tawaiff. And they couldn't get married due to the family/cast values and all. And then he learnt that someone from his family actually killed that girlfriend of his. So hence he went crazy after that and since then was suffering from a post traumatic stress disorder. He does get fixed later on though thanks to the mahaan bahu in that show. 😆 And after he gets fixed the story got lame so I stopped watching. It was only the mystery that kept me hooked. Ok I have no idea why I just typed all that...but you started it with reminding me of this so now you have to listen. 😛😆

Oh but never heard of those other two shows you're talking about...funny because those were probably the actual POPULAR shows this guy has been a part of. And here I remember him from this random, lame sa show hardly ANYONE watched! 😆

And MB may ... they did not say what he is entering as.. In the MB forum we were speculating maybe he is replacing that Jimmy guy or some completely new character... Even in the forum there are people who want Nirali replaced too... Because they did replace Dalichand this week... so why not Nirali😆 Oh nooo...NOT Jimmy yaar! I don't want him to be Jimmy! That storyline is so lame. Although maybe if he played Jimmy it might not be. And yeah if they changed Nirali too then maybe. But I'm hoping he plays some other interesting sa new character. Oh and who is Dalichand again? *scratching head* 😕😆

Saw a bit of the JD one still loading saw till the part Farah calls him a gabru jawan or something😆 why is his sherwani SO chamkeeli😆 I KNOW...isn't it beautiful! 😍 Those guys were just SO into the emotion! *sigh* Such an honest performance. YAY so glad you liked it too! 🤗 LOLL yeah Farah and Vaibhavi's reactions with this guy are kind of amusing. 😆 They're doing more nautanki later on as well. 😆

Rahil Azam is a good actor indeed...he was in Gulaal too...he played Vasant. I remember that Babul show you're talking about...I only ever saw a few glimpses...didn't really follow it😆

Regarding the deeyarvattu and honestly the overall storyline involving Kesar-Gulaal...yes, on paper it will weird out anyone...heck I personally was the most creeped out person when it came to this storyline and I vented a lot about it back then too...so for me toh this has been a HUGE turnaround to come to love this story so much...I'm still amazed at myself😆

But honestly watching how they've dealt with this story, with these characters, with these intricate relationships just opens up your mind in a whole another way...there is no lame romance for the heck of it...for the most part honestly, there is no real romance😆...what it really is for KG at the base of everything is an extremely complex relationship which is very very hard to really define...and it's evolved with time...with each phase...there is nothing cheap at all about the way they've handled the concept, rather it draws you in to the characters and their motivations...that's how fantastic the writing is...and I've discovered this the more I've watched the show.

Basically what got me hooked to the show was the character of Kesar and the turbulence and turmoil this character was going through post the leap...it's been shown in a very interesting manner...you start to get pulled in to that the more you watch the story...his complicated relationship with Gulaal and his feelings towards her which he himself isn't really able to understand...he wants to hate her because of certain things he's learnt but at the same time there is a constant pull also...push and pull...and it's not attraction shown in the typical sense either...she IS his world...his entire world revolves around her...whether to hate her, be angry with her, to love her, care for her...there is this CHARGED aspect to their relationship but not in the cliched sense...the characters are so strong, so stubborn that their clashes make for interesting viewing...Ok I could go on and on but really it's hard to explain😆

But oh so RA was Vasant only? Cool. Vasant is the brother who dies right? Because of which Gulaal has to do this deeyarvattu in the first place right? See, I know my stuff. 😎😆 And I haven't even seen a single scene of this show ever! 😲😆 LOLLL yep Vasant is the brother that died...and Gulaal had to do the deeyarvattu cuz of other pressures too...there's another cousin of Vasant's...Dushyant who was lusting after her back then and wanted her to do the deeyarvattu with him so that he could make her his wife...which is when Gulaal took the step to do it with Kesar instead to protect both him and her cuz these ppl were trying to kill Kesar back then too and this was the only way Gulaal could continue to stay in the house...if you're curious about that scene in particular, here you go:
