London (CNN) -- Tennis star Novak Djokovic's unusual grass-eating celebration proved a gift to headline writers a day after he was crowned Wimbledon champion, but raised eyebrows elsewhere.

Djokovic sank to his knees and nibbled a piece of the Centre Court lawn on Sunday after beating Rafael Nadal to win the men's singles title, later saying: "I felt like an animal. I wanted to see how it tastes."

Britain's newspapers seized upon the bizarre ritual. The tabloid Sun newspaper labeled the Serbian a "Chompion," while the Daily Telegraph shared the moment that "Djokovic tastes Wimbledon glory." "Djokovic laps up blades of glory" said the Express.

Hey Anu - yeah, the ring-wali promo is cute...but it makes me feel like the promos are written by an entirely different set of people from the show...or else that they are watching/promoting a completely different show. Promos mein RP are so serene and sweet (especially the rose-tinted promos, as I like to call them, and not the normal ones that Sony puts out on the very day of the episode 😆) but when it comes to the show God only knows what happens. Aisa lagta hai ki the promos are a story of their own, and the show itself is some other story with the same actors and similar situations...

I was amused too by the grass-eating thing, but as Anu said, it was endearing on a level. It's his first Wimbledon, so the amazement factor was sky-high; I guess he probably wanted a souvenir 🤣 🤣

UGGGHHH I was just randomly browsing the forum and found myself sickened by the thoughts of some people...

When discussing why people can't digest Phulwa's marriage with a man thrice her senior, people's arguments are "wait, people can accept a 16 year old marrying a 65 year old but not this?" 😲 AGHAST! Maybe because 16 year olds are actually of LEGAL age in some countries, wherease Phulwa is a CHILD?!!!! And the fact that people are sporting Phulwa-Shankar SIGS makes me sick...

Hi Vasu :) i personally didnt like the movie at all.I found it very incomplete.My dad literally slept in the theatre!(and whenever he sleeps,he snores,so more embarrassment) 😆I was hoping to see a good Amitabh-Hema moment but was deprived of such a moment.Next on my list is Delhi Belly.Any of you seen that movie?

reg Phulwa:the child is 16 years old?😕She looks quite small.Even i have seen those sigs having Phulwa and the Gunda.Pathetic!I guess they have also made a couple name of Phulwa and that guy like they do in every forum.😆
