Hey reshmi!

@vasu--- ewww! that's just sickening!🤢 why are PHs and channels showing such shows? why romanticize such stuff? Weird.

btw what is this upcoming movie "Mausam" all about? what's the plotline?

I didn't realise Hema was in this movie! I thought it was just AB, AB & AB 😆...to be honest it didn't seem like my kind of thing from the trailers either...kind of like an extended ode to Amitabh Bachchan as opposed to an actual film...I guess there will probably an audience for it though since it is Big B...

LOL @ your dad falling asleep in the theatre...my dad would probably just walk out if he didn't like it, and go sit in the coffee shop waiting for us 😆, which, mind you, is no less embarrassing if he is sitting in the centre of the row, quite near the front! 😆

Nahi yaar, Phulwa toh is a child...they are comparing her & Shankar to a 16-year old girl marrying a 65 year old...

@Amy - yes, and their excuse is that "this is based on the life of Phoolan Devi"; well based it might be, but Phoolan Devi's husband at that age brutally raped and abused her, nearly leaving her for dead. They are not showing that are they? Because apparently THAT is where the line is drawn at what to show on prime time TV...but its okay to show a burgeoning "love story" 🤢 between a man and a child...

Hey Amy...How you doing?Only 2 weeks left for HP final movie.Excited?

Vasu,it was AB,AB and only AB😆Hema,Raveena and the rest was just supporting him here and there.Even i feel the same.It was kind of a tribute to big B rather than an actual film but to be true, these roles really doesnt suit Amitabh right now.I would prefer him doing a Baghban or Black anyday over BHTB.I recently read that Ram Gopal Verma tweeted about Amitabh using slangs which he used to appreciate AB's acting😕😆Interestingly, the first person who was thanked in the movee during the credit rolls was Ram Gopal Verma himself😆

Walking out in middle of the movie that too while sitting in the centre of the row is quite embarrassing too😆

so they can't show the actual gruesome reality of the relationship and that is why they decide to romanticize it for entertainment purposes?! 😳
Dude, a man marrying a child is a major criminal offense in almost all countries! How did they even think about romanticizing and fictionalizing that issue?!

@Reshmi--- VERY excited !😃 lol but this time it's weird sort of excitement. It's like i so want 15th july to come ...but then again i don't want it too soon because it means it's the end of the whole HP phenomenon. 😭 the first one came out in what...2001, right? It's been decade of such exciting anticipations for the HP movies (not counting the book release because that was a whole different thing! ) and now this month it all ends! i don't think i have been more excited for the release of any other movies as i have been for every HP movie. it didn't matter whether it turned out good or bad...it was just about waiting for that day when my brother and i could go to one of the AMC's and gleefully enjoy the movie. lol my cousin and I would read the book before going to the movie...lol that is so much fun caz then you recall every detail and can see how it looks on screen as compared to your own imaginations and renditions in your head while reading the book.😆
Yeah I'm a HP fan and always will be. the books and movies have been a part of my growing up years for a decade now and it's sorta weird to actually close the door to all that. i don't know i'm weird.

@Amy - God only knows what goes on through the heads of these people *shudders*

@Reshmi - lol, RGV is a weird one...his relevance as a director is less and less as the years go on; he is now more just an entertainer for the silly and controversial stuff he says on Twitter! Some people really should be kept away from social media...it gets them into so much trouble 😆

Sadly thats the state of Hindi TV shows nowadays Amy!People really cant look beyond love stories here in India.

I have noticed that reshmi. About love stories being the sole genre and focus of any shows on the tv. and the weirdest thing is that it's always that "star crossed lovers" sort of deal in most shows or "mills and boons" stuff (whatever that is...sorry i haven't read mills and boons and don't even plan to as i don't think i'm in to all that romantic stuff).

there are SO many other ways one can incorporate "love stories" in other genres. Why is that indian shows might start out with a "different" theme but eventually everything ends up being lovers pining for love...separating for the greater good or due to misunderstandings (that are clearly due to some silly miscommunication issue) and then finally reuniting and "consummating" their marriage whatever when the show's about to end?

I'm a HP fan too but only of the books; I stopped watching the movies about Book 3 because they didn't fit in with my view of the books. Book 3 was my favourite and I hated how they dealt with Sirius' character in the film; it just didn't suit the depth of the book. I generally don't tend to like films of books anyway 😆

I was very sad when book 7 came out; as Amy said, I was excited for it but also dreading it as I didn't want it to end...so I can guess how you guys are feeling with the films...

Me too Vasu! I LOVE the books...and i like the movies. I, too, was so disappointed with sirius's death scene in the movie and also dumbledore's death. I wept while reading the death scenes in the books...but while watching those on screen---nothing! I have never liked Yates. I think Cauron would have been the best choice for all the HP movies. but unfortunately they picked Yates.

I was excited for the 7th book release. i bought it and read almost half of it in the first day and then next day i finished it all. my eyes dampened the moment i turned the last page (before epilogue...i don't like the epilogue). 😭 I don't think i will ever get attached to a book series and the characters within as HP.
