I think the whol mystical aspect of Gulaal kept me from watching it in the beginning - maybe i'll go back and watch it now - because the show is in fact quite good - but i was never much of a rahil azeem fan and never knew of manasi before - plus how can a woman find water still baffles me 😆 - but i am a sucker for complicated love stories - which haas emerged post leap.

Gulaal as a whole show deserves a credit even before the leap

absolutely ... Manasi has managed the act with a lot of subtleness and also she gets the desi dialect pretty ok though kutchi dont speak that way but none in the serial are speaking even a little of the dialect


Gulaal yes as a serial deserves a lot more than what it is getting

Yea i saw the TV9 segment where they talked about all 3 being gujju- actually the whole cast pretty much seems gujju - maybe excluding Sushant and a few others. Keeps the ethnic feeling in the show alive.

and i couldnt agree more - you cant think of Ridz and not think of EMA, while the rest like Tulsi, Parvati, Heer, Naku (Oh i miss LTL 😭), Sadhna, Ragini, etc - these were women of substance!

You so need to see Kesar-Gulaal scene before the leap - too good as well

Exactly, these woman you can think of fondly whilst i putting Ridz along with them is just wrong, what a character to be associated - one should be proud of the character play but i doubt Ridz should even called proud 😆

Why dont you watch LTL, i see it sometimes with Digu and Naku?

That was explained in the show how she could 😆 - which was done well - everything you see in Gulaal is always explained so well (they put minor hints in way before hand, like the Kes-Gul hints were in the show way before and only now idf you watch from the start you can pick up on the hints) but its up to individuals mind how they see it and understand it and the depth of it and i also relate that to Kes-Gul, if you dont understand it and nit-pick on silly thing as the age and so on, then you wont ever truly and fully understand the depth of Kes-Gulaal bond and what it is and so on, you need to look at in a different view and beyond it

Gulaal is like watching a movie, thats how it was when it started

Lennie - i watch it occasionally - but the essence of LTL is gone! its basically a knew season - idk i am all for second chances but dutta has the hook in LTL - whether it was Dutta-Naku or Dutta Kala or Dutta Baaji - his story left the impact on me. Mahhi is a fab acteress - but i cannot accept the way they ended Dutta-Naku. And the fact that Mishal isnt coming back kills all hope for their reunion. - I'm not going to hate digu - but i cant accept them two together - i miss my old kaali Naku & her Dutta

Mahi is rather cute as Naku the one she is portraying now lol

Digu is ok, i dont mind him - i dont even watch the show everyday just bits and bobs but its gonna be heart-touching if it goes the Sadma way, that movie had such a heart-wrenching end

See i am not into cheesy love stories, i need depth in them and intrigue and intensity and after SR, i have found that in Gulaal-Kesar in a way, well they have got me back to writing 😆

I;ve been watching LTL from the start - and by no means it is a cheesy love story - that show has such intensity - the 1 year of LTL has been more of a character development of Dutta more than anything else, how he went from being ruthless to finding friendship and love. His change with constant manipulation by numerous people that come and go in his life. i am not the best with words - but the intensity that LTL has had - has been impeccable!

and even i like mahi;s acting as darya -waali naku but its not the same with out MR!! :(
