Even though I've only recently started watching full LTL episodes, even I can pretty much figure out that this show is meant to be appreciated for it's character development, progression in relationships, creativity, song choice....etc. etc...I mean it's by no means a perfect show but there's LOT'S of things that need to be appreciated!!

When has anything in this show NOT been extreme? I mean, Dutta getting betrayed and then becoming a don? Naku's mom telling her to cover herself in soot so she doesn't get raped? It's all extreme! Nothing here is realistic so to speak. But that's the whole story. You have to allow this much creative liberty also. The story writers have created all these extreme situations but the way these situations shape the characters, their emotions, their relationships is awesome! I mean, if we can get something SO poignant, something so beautiful like the DN love story, the Duji bond, Dutta's characterization and rooting for him to find his peace of mind...out of all this then honestly I have no complaints with all these bloopers/extreme situations.

I'm all for realistic shows too, but I'd much rather watch the type of character development and relationships LTL shows even with the OTT-ness, than the rest of the crap on TV where the 'writers' could care less about their characters and chose to play mind games with their audience so that they keep tuning in for HAWT scenes and what not!

And that Geet example, honestly man I SWEAR every single sig I see on IF of that couple is the SAME!!! It's EXACTLY the same expressions, same cornering creepy molesting wala pose, same girl hyperventilating because the dude is standing next to her! And THIS is what we should appreciate? People putting in NO thought to their creations whatsoever and simply applying the same old formula for TRP's sakes? EGGJACTLYYYYYYYYYYYY.....Dude it's freakin RIDICULOUS how they show the SAME scene like a BILLION times over on that pair and ppl just lap it up happily🥱🥱🥱😆

I'd much rather appreciate the creative genius-ness of the LTL writers! Sure the situations are extreme, but the emotions are REAL. These are actual, and conflicted human emotions that any one of us can go through! There's a BASIS for why each character behaves the way they do! We may not react that extremely to things, but you can still RELATE to what they go through. And that's some awesome story telling right there! Plus the way they shoot the scenes, the way they use the music, create the emotions, all these creative things to really engage the audience seriously needs to be applauded!

And about her face revealing thing...man the show has really justified this so well I think! Naku's whole point in this show is to calm Dutta. She's the one that always brings him serenity. And revealing her face will do just the opposite! I don't see this as Naku being a coward or whatever...yes sure she is hesitant and she has her flaws too, but I see it as Naku not wanting to disturb Dutta's peace of mind and instead tell him when the time is right. When she thinks he trusts her enough, when he's more stable and can handle this. And lying/betraying is one side of it, there's also Dutta's past and his feelings about 'beauty betraying him' and all like you guys also mentioned in that topic! Seriously there's SO many aspects to this story! SO much detail has been provided by the writers and it's being handled really craftily and carefully! I toh wanna appreciate full on, and def. don't see anything wrong so far. *touchwood*

Phew....had to let that out. It just bugs me when people give stupid reasonings for why you should appreciate crap instead of appreciating ACTUAL good stuff that's right there in front of your faces to see! I mean seriously, is it any wonder that crap is ruling over tv these days?!? *shakes head*

That's why my parents too hate socializing with these types of people. Nobody sensible can really. All they talk about is oh look I bought a new house, new car blah blah...and they'll talk also as if they're purposely flaunting it in people's faces. Toh if you geniunely wanna be happy for them also you can't! 😆 Oh I SO understand, man....it's the same with us.....wohi same type ke fake, self-obsessed, show-offy ppl everywhere....puts you off socializing for the most part....guess we could be called a bit of a reclusive family that way cuz we just go to a handful of social events/parties over the year😆

And I agree with the bits about dark Naku as well. I feel like she's just so HERSELF in her dark roop. She's not concious or aware of her looks or anything so she acts her natural self. They always show the fair Naku reacting as though she's some 'apsara' so they put all the focus on her beauty. And the DN relationship is completely un-superficial. Naku's looks have absolutely nothing to do with why Dutta loves her. So adding that angle and Naku being AWARE of her looks kind of changes things. It's kinda weird na....ki when Naku is "hiding" behind this soot she actually appears to be her natural self, but as soon as the soot's gone and that's her "real" face, she starts acting all superficial and weird. Naku's perspective about her beauty is a bit of a complicated thing I think....I totally agree that she gets kinda weird and quite AWARE of her looks as you said....but there's a reason for it....all her life, she's been judged for those looks, men have instantly turned into savage lusting animals after seeing the real her....so cuz the ppl she's met have been so obsessed with her looks, she HERSELF has become obsessed with them.....Dutta is the first man....and then Baaji who hasn't been bowled over by her looks....and has loved her for the person she is.....but in general as she goes through day to day life, yes hiding behind her soot makes her comfortable and she doesn't dwell on her looks.....but when it's off, she does......

And yeah totally, they will have to show this well so that we the audience can connect also. And Dutta getting used to that idea has to be really believable. This is a huge deal for him, obv. on so many levels. How is he to believe that this Naku is the same Naku he fell in love with? After all the betrayals/deceits he's been through, how is he to believe that Naku is the real deal! Exactly.....that is why this FR is a huge turning point....and Dutta will naturally feel majorly betrayed and refuse to believe that this is HIS Nakku....he will lose his connect with her and that is what will have to be built up again.

I'm def. intrigued to see how they're going to show Dutta believe that Naku is the same regardless of her looks. They'll def. have to play in that "beauty is a curse" angle like you said. And you're so right about even Naku's progression in character too as she realizes her beauty is not what's really HER. Cuz earlier she's had this thought ki I'm the greatest thing only because of my beauty. But Dutta falling in love with her in her 'dark' roop shows that there's more to her, at a much deeper level that's really beautiful. Her "inside" is more beautiful than her "outside" in other words. So it's kind of a realization for her too in a way. I think I remember having this discussion with Kavya once and she had also explained it beautifully.....it will be a journey for both Dutta and Nakku to overcome their insecurities....this is a VERY interestingly complicated set of flaws they've given these characters....Dutta's absolute belief that beauty is never to be trusted and always betrays him....and Nakku's belief that her beauty has always been a curse....previously cuz it made every man lust after her and now cuz the only man she's ever loved hates beauty....talk about irony😆.....so both of them have to come to the realization that "beauty" is irrelevant....especially Dutta has to realize that he's loved Nakku for the person she is and her beauty is not a factor and ultimately make HER realize that it is her beautiful SOUL that he's loved and her looks/lack thereof never mattered....that is what will make her stop obsessing with her looks too then.

It'd be kinda interesting if they show the culmination of the DP-Dutta track along with the FR thing you know what I mean? After Dutta finally accepts ki his dad isn't all bad, therefore HE also isn't. His existence, his name isn't all bad...so it's like he'll finally figure himself out and come to terms with himself. And that's when he can realize that Naku is also genuine regardless of her looks.

And up to this point, it's always been Naku who's helping him through everything. But now it's like he'll need to realize on his OWN, that he can trust people. He'll need to trust HIMSELF before he can trust people like his dad and Naku you know what I mean? I think it's only after he really believes in himself and his ability to do the right thing, trust the right people can he really trust Naku again.

There's really many aspects/ways they can go about showing this, I'm looking forward to it for sure. :) Yep there deffo is potential for a lot of interesting character development here....and the journeys these characters go through....so hoping they show it well :-)

Edit: Also I have a question as I was reading that thread. Who is Morey? And why do you guys want him to be beaten black and blue? 😆 LOLL Morey is this disgusting lechy sort of police officer who they showed in the beginning of the show....he saw Nakku in her real fair avatar and started lusting after her and tried to forcibly take her away from her parents and stuff....and that's when Dutta first enters and rescues her, remember?😉😆....so you see why we want him beaten up black and blue again?😆.....that's another storyline with a lot of potential....when Dutta realizes what all Nakku has had to go through cuz of her looks....first Morey, later on Anna as well....all these random men pouncing on her.
