Maan's "Ghar lauten..." seems to have made a ghar in my mind 😆
The lady in tears,
Carrying dreams shattered in her heart,
Every broken hope ripping her apart,
Voices her fears...
"I come with a past, a past hurtful,
It binds my soul,
And may wound yours as well,
Can't you hear the doleful knell?"
The man stands tall,
Armed with love, and love alone,
He takes the lady to be his own,
And brings down the wall...
"Trust me, my lady fair,
As long as I live to care,
The past shall not touch you,
Nor come between us two...
Let me unbind your soul,
For you make mine whole."
Daring to dream again,
The lady sees hope of a life beautiful,
Safe in the arms of her man wonderful,
Letting her fears wane...
The pain of her lost home and hearth,
Her own who knew not her worth,
Dissolves under the dome,
As her man asks, "Shall we go home?"
