Refugee Vibhishan coming to Ram(Some or most part of it has also been posted by Lola with translations in earlier fanclub which I will post again here to maintain the continuity of dialogs of the scene at same place.)

Ram (To Sugreev entering into the tent): Aao mitr. Baitho.

Sugreev: Raghunathji. Apne aap ko Ravan ka chhota bhai batanevala, ek asur aaya hai. Aapki sharan me aanaa chaahta hun yeh keh kar, woh aapke paas aane ki aagyaa chaahta hai. Parantu wah shatru ka bhai hai. Is baat ko gambhirta se sochna chaahie ki usko apne shivir me aane ki anumati di jaay ya nahi.

Ram (To all): Hmmm. Aap sabka is baare me kya mat hai?

Nal: Sambhav hai woh Ravan ka koi guptachar ho.

Jambuvan: Bhai ho ya guptachar ho; hai to hamara shatru hi. In maayaavi raakshason ka kya bharosa. Sharan ki baat keh kar, hamare dal me ghus kar, andar hi andar, hamara anisht kare. Hamara vishwaas jeet kar ham logon par hi prahaar kare.

Angad: Bhagvan. Hame uski baaton me na aakar, use turant bandi bana lena chaahie.

Hanuman (To Sugreev): Vaanarraj. Jiske hriday me kapat ho, woh is prakaar khulam khulla saamne nahi aataa. Usse uska parichay puchhna chaahie. Woh kaun hai? Kya naam hai uska?

Sugreev: Vibhishan naam bataaya hai usne apna.

Hanuman (Very happy and excited): Vibhishan? Kya Vibhishan naam bataaya usne?

Sugreev: Kyun? Kya shanka utpann hui naam sunkar?

Hanuman: Shanka? Shanka ke to baadal chhad gaye Vibhishan naam sunkar. Yadi vaastav me woh Vibhishan hi hai to.

Jambuvan: Hanumant. Tum aise keh rahe ho jaise Vibhishan apna swajan, hitaishi ho. Wo ho nahi sakta. Aakhir woh Ravan ka bhai hai. Ek raakshas hai. So mannmaanaa roop dhaaran kar sakta hai. Raakshason me antardhyaan hone ki shakti ki bhi hoti hai. Woh avsar paakar, hamari bahut haani kar sakta hai.

Hanuman: Raakshas jaati ka hai, isliye woh dusht ya durjan ho, yeh maan lena anyaay hai.

(In management theory, this is known as 'horne effect')

Koi bhi praani, jaati se achchha ya bura nahi hota. Woh to karmo se achchha ya bura hota hai. Raakshason me bhi raja Bali jaise dharmaatma aur daani; Prahlaad jaise Haribhakt hue hain Jambuvant ji. (Now looking at Ram) Usi prakaar Vibhishan bhi aapka param bhakt hai prabhu. Balki Sita maata ne to mujhe yeh bhi bataaya tha ki Vibhishan apni beti ke haath, chori chhupe, kabhi kabhi bhojan bhi bhejta rehta hai.

(Now Lakshman interested positively for the first time)

Jambuvan: Ho sakta hai. Us samay uski putri ne sahaanubhuti ke kaaran aisa kiya ho. Parantu aaj sthiti doosri hai. Lanka me aaj sab jaante honge ki is samay Shri Ram ki sena samudra ke us paar pahunch gai hai. Is samay, Vibhishan ka, apne bhai ke bairi ke paas aane ka na to uchit samay hai aur na hi uchit sthaan.

Lakshman: Jo sankat me apne sahodar bhai ko chhod de, us par tanik soch samajh kar vishwaas karna chaahie bhaiya.

Ram: Lakshman. Lakshman aur Bharat jaise bhai is sansaar me to kya, teeno lokon me durlabh hai. Atah unke maapdand se sabko maapna uchit nahi hai.

Vaanarraj. Aap sabke vichaar, mai ekaagrachitt ho kar sun raha tha. Ab aap sab mere vichaar bhi sune; uske pashchaat apna nirnay den.

Sambhav hai, Vibhishan me kuchh dosh ho. Uske mann me kuchh buraav bhi ho. Parantu mera ek prann hai ke jo sharan me aaye use abhay kar dun. Mitrataa ki yaachna karta hua koi sharanaarthi ban kar aayaa hai, use thukaraana dosh hai. Doshi ko aashray dena, bhale hi woh thagne kyun na aayaa ho, satpurushon ke liye uchit hai. Thagna paap hai, thage jaana nahi.

Hanuman: Aapka nirnay uttam hai Prabhu. Aur dhanya hain aapke aadarsh. Ham log uske swajan nahin. Phir bhi woh aapse sharan maangne aayaa hai. Mujhe isme koi kapat dikhai nahi deta.

Ram: Mai aap sabke vichaaraarth, ek udaaharan prastut karta hun. Aap use dhyaan se sune. Poorva kaal me, maharshi Kanv ke putr, mahaan satyavaadi, maharshi Kandu ne, ek dharmvishayak nirnay liya tha.

Aartovayadivadushtah paresham sharanamgata;
Ari praanaanaam parityaj, rakshitavyah krutaatmana.

Yadi shatru bhi sharan me aaye aur daya ki yaachna kare, to use bhi niraash nahi karna chaahie. Shatru dukhi ho ya duraatmaa, yadi woh vipakshi ki sharan me aa jay; to nirmal mannvale shreshth purush ko, apne praanon ka moh chhod kar uski raksha karni chaahie. Yadi woh aisa nahi karta, to paap ka bhaagi hota hai. Sharnaagat ka tyaag, swarg aur suyash ki praapti ko mita deta hai. Yadi sharan me aayaa hua praani, rakshak ke saamne nasht ho jaay, to woh uske saare punyon ko le jaata hai (Relate this with 'Sarvadharmaan parityajya maamekam sharanam vraj'). Mai aaj, maharshi Kandu ke, us yathaarth aur uttam vachan ka paalan karunga. 'Mai tumhara hun', yadi aisa keh kar koi meri sharan me aayaa hai, to use grahan na karna, mahaan adharm hoga. He Kapishreshth. Yeh to Vibhishan hai. Yadi swayam Ravan bhi sharanaagat ban kar aaye, to bhi mai apna prann nibhaaunga. Use sharan dunga.

Yuvraaj Angad. Use aadar ke saath hamare paas le aao.

(And all the while, everyone was listening to him with great respect.)

Here Shri Ram has also shown his great quality as a leader. A great leader first listens to the opinion of all followers with respect and concentration. And then ultimate decision he takes without the influence of anyone but using his own intellect. But he doesn't impose his decision on others autocratically but tries to justify even his own action to his followers too. He doesn't order without trying to convince the person executing his order that what he is asked to.

And the scene after that is also one of the greatest from devotee's point of view - Vibhishan entering the hut. The dialogs I haven't posted are also very good in between (Vibhishan visiting Ravan's personal palace finally trying to convince him taking great risk and also the original rajyasabha scene in which Vibhishan was expelled).

Hi guys 🤗 Really enjoyed all the posts in the past couple pages, will reply in a bit... for now just wanted to share the fact the Henn'as still open and perfectly fine if we request from her again, hint hint 😉 And that Gunu, your req is posted at her shop on pg61... it's gorgeous! Hi guys!! another busy week cuz schools starting, wish me luck! it's a little late, but I'm gonna attempt to power through some replies anyway. If I don't finish I'll edit tomorrow. here I go:

@ Janu - glad we agree pretty much completely when it comes to new mythos. I really appreciate that they tried, that they put their time, money, and efforts into a mytho rather than a soap and created a bright spot in the otherwise blah tv landscape. however, I wish they didn't put in that much effort 😆 they sometimes worked a bit too hard and rewrote characters who were already written perfectly. on a related note, massive lol at the amazon woman comment 🤣 Embellishing characters is creative, as long as the embellishments fit textual evidence and generally accepted and admired notions. that's why I put Meera ahead of JSK, cuz though so much of it was blatant fiction, the stories during her childhood epis had meaning and went well with who we know her to be. Debi's acting, we agree on, as well as that beautiful viraat swaroop in Ashok Vatika moment - while I'm at it, let me mention my fav Guru as Ram scene, maybe we match there too 😉 I love him most in the scene when Kaikeyi calls him over to tell him about Project Vanvaas, and he's wondering what's wrong with Dashrath. I love Arun in this scene for how calmly and sweetly he accepts it once he finds out, but I love Guru for the opposite - the initial agitation and pain and worry he expresses at seeing his dad so out of sorts. That's where it helps to have a young, childlike and innocent Ram to whom dad's happiness means the world, and that's what Guru gave us in that scene. Again, gotta give credit where it's due 👏

@ Deeps - in the related point we discussed regarding Mata Sumitra's behavior during the early vanvaas epis, I do agree with you that the motive was modernization. When they did it with Ramji's character by having him fast when Sita Maa did, serve her and declare that all men should follow his example and serve their wives who do so much for them, let her win their game of chausar, play the portrait joke, etc., I was totally for it - this kind of modernization, I loved, because not only was it entertaining, it also put forth messages about love ad equality that today's world needs and that do not go against the characterization of Shri Ram that we've loved and worshiped for so long. And the modernization of Sita - except for the slap 😕 - I also didn't mind, because by answering back to Ravan, she was demonstrating faith in Ram's capabilities - and that on its own fits Sita Maa's character just fine, while giving an appropriate lesson about courage that wouldn't be wasted on a modern audience. However, that slap scene as well as the Sumitra blasting Kaikeyi and telling her she killed Dashrath - those two scenes exemplify modernization that I neither understand nor appreciate. If freaking out like that instead of being patient and forgiving like Sumitra Maa used to be is supposed to be modernization, then have virtues like patience and compassion gone out of style? And if they have, isn't it the responsibility of shows like this to bring them back in style, given that they reach out to so many people in so many places? If they added to Ram's loving and just nature by making him teach us more about equality in relationships, then why didn't they use that same creativity to add to other characters' virtues rather than reducing them to angry, irrational, and out-of-control lallus? Today's world has enough of that, old-fashioned hi sahi but I'd like to see these characters as ideals I can aspire to, not mirrors of my own faults and failings.
Very very very sorry for ranting on and on, lol didn't mean to say so much but it just kinda tumbled out... I really do like the show, it's a mytho after all... but just expressing my opinion on what could've been better. Super sorry if I hurt any feelings, jhappi dekar maaf karna 🤗

@ both Janu and Deeps - so I don't seem like I complete wacko for appreciating something about KHMK, I dug up vids of the scenes in question so you could decide for yourselves. Don't want you to go through the pain of watching the whole clip, so just skip forward to my suggested timings 😆
