Why am I not surprised? Is it so difficult for people to comprehend that acting and anchoring are totally different ball games? Just because you are a pretty face and your jodi clicks in a particular serial doesn't automatically qualify you to be a compelling anchor! 😕

Word to what you said....It really irritates me when ppl think that popular on-screen pairs will automatically make good anchors together *rolls eyes*....even a BLIND person can tell that these two lack the spark to anchor....seriously most of the anchors on TV annoy me right now....even the Indian Idol5 anchors are DAMN snooze-worthy this season *sigh* I miss Husseinnnnnnn! He's awesome! Even Chang was really good last season.....this season of DID....even Jai-Saumya were quite annoying....hardly any good anchors left on TV, man....Mini was so awesome too but I think she's kinda retired from all this for now :S

Hussein and Chang were really good together in Indian Idol last year. I truly enjoyed watching their camaraderie. I even liked Mona Singh and Rohit Roy in Jhalak Dikhla Ja. You are right about the sad state of anchors these days. The current Indion Idol anchors are totally a waste of time. They lack the punch. Mini was good, I even liked Ruby Bhatia, Javed Jaffery and Aly Khan back in the days. My guess is the channel goes for popularity and if it clicks, it clicks, if it doesn't anchors are always dispensable.

Ruby Bhatia/Aly Khan and the likes were wayyyyyyy back in the day, LadyM....back when TV was ACTUALLY good! LOLL....we can't even begin to expect that good level of anchoring these days.

Mona tends to go OTT many times but yeah otherwise she's a good anchor....I actually thought Parmeet-Archana were the best JDJ anchors in season one....they are both damn good at this.

These days all works is sifaarshi....just like how it works in India anyways....it's not talent that matters....but who you know and how you can get them to get you a gig.

That is SOOO true!!...really I was tempted to post there...but I was like chado yaar....is se acha hai apna assignment karloon...aur bhi gam hain zamane main fangirls ke siwa...😆
