Frankly the idea of earth being a big giant experiment built by some aliens makes more sense to me then creationism.

My brother had the Hitchhiker's Guide, but I somehow never got around to reading it. I think I might, because by the sound of it, I will like it. It somehow reminds me a bit of Star Wars, which I absolutely am in love with. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Jedi knights, and the whole concept of Force is extremely fascinating to me. ๐Ÿ˜ I think that's one reason why LOTR happens to be one of my favourites. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† Kings, dwarves, elfs and then we have hobbits and all these other magical creatures; it all sounds soo brilliant when I read about them. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Mohit ji, since I feel less inclined towards our actual assignments, the feeling came naturally to me. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜† I hope others are all as forgiving as you and Smita ji. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Pinki ji, it's lovely to see you. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

The thing with hitch hiker's is it doesn't take itself too seriously. Its a fun read..
here is a sample

It's an important and popular fact that things are not always what they seem. For instance, on the planet Earth, Man had always assumed that he was the most intelligent species occupying the planet, instead of the *third* most intelligent. The second most intelligent creatures were of course dolphins who, curiously enough, had long known of the impending destruction of the planet earth. They had made many attempts to alert mankind to the danger, but most of their communications were misinterpreted as amusing attempts to punch footballs or whistle for titbits. So they eventually decided they would leave earth by their own means. The last ever dolphin message was misinterpreted as a surprisingly sophisticated attempt to do a double backward somersault through a hoop while whistling the star-spangled banner, but in fact the message was this: So long and thanks for all the fish.

Thanks so much for the link, Smita ji. Now I just have to download them and print it out. I am not good with reading stuff on the computer, and I prefer hard copies, either from the library or my own. I have to wait till summer before I go book shopping, though. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
I did not realize that there were so many in the series. Nice website. Seems like they have quite the collection. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Smita ji, if I read it online, I won't be able to enjoy it as much. I need to have the hard copy in my hands for me to enjoy it fully. There's something oddly satisfying about reading an actual book, as compared to online reading. ๐Ÿ˜ณ Yes, I'm an oddball, what can I say. ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜†
During my high school years, I used to love reading up on the zodiac signs. I had two 3'' folders that I printed for my research during that time. ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† I still have some notes left, but most of them are lost now.
Mostly, I get my books for reading from the library. But for casual reading, I'll need a membership at the local library. I just don't have the time for it as of now. Maybe in summertime, I'll do that. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
The only collection that I own at the moment is Harry Potter and Spiderwick Chornicles apart from the many Disney tales and other children books I have. ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿ˜†๐Ÿ˜† Collecting the books can be a bit expensive over here. I'm in the US, as of now. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

I am in the US too, having moved around 6 times actually 7 times ,I have stopped buying books.Packing and unpacking is such a pain.
I still have my books in boxes.
And I love hard copies too,but I like to carry my books wherever I go, and hard copies are just not convenient ..plus I couldn't read them at work๐Ÿ˜‰.
So I have decide I will only buy book s, when I have a library of my own and a home of my own..
So for now I go for audio books and ebooks.

I think all of us go through the zodiac phase.
I have read Linda goodman's books and cheiro's books on palmistry and numerology and used to lap up everything Bejan wrote ๐Ÿ˜ณ
I think all the good astrologers have died out or are in remote places in the world.
Did your research help you?
