Does Umera read what she has written in the previous chapters at all?
She lost hold on her characters half way through the story. There was depth in the story at the beginning through till three quarters of the story. Then it began to pall.
If you remember, the opening scene saw so many characters gasping with shock and repentance at Saba's death............ what happened to them? They just melded into the background.
What happened to Adil? He was there but what happened to him?
Aksa? Does she ever realise her cruelty to her own sister? Has she wondered why her sister chose to send her daughter to Arfeen and not her?
So may unanswered queries !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am exhausted writing about them.
Change the title of this story ..............
From the Sublime to the Ridiculous.

If I were to grade the characters according to my choice, then ...........
Arfeen tops the list. Congratulations to the actor. 👍🏼
Saba is next. Wonderful ! 😊
Haider as a character ........ good 👏
The rest of the chracters did a good job of supporting a story which unfortunately failed at the end.
Umera ................... gets a C. 🤢
This is my POV.

Sammy, Arwen & Samarth ............
I am going to write the concluding chapters of this story the way I would have liked to have seen it happen. Like MRD my way .......... only its not going to be that long. Just three chapters.
1. Introspection of Sara
2. Interlude betw Sara and Haider
3. Final Judgement
Oh and in case you wonder why.......... its because I want reprieve for Arfeen........

For most part we agree with the Skeptical's analysis, especially the manner of wrapping up the serial in such a hurried way, when so many threads were hanging loose. And this, when serial was generating high TRPs, so unlike our hard to remove overstretched soaps.

Arfeen is truly left unattended midway but we like to imagine that ultimate healing and reconciliation was already on the course … as hinted by director with relevant reminiscences of Sara. We would love to believe that Saba in Sara will ultimately prevail…and she was yet to know the entire past…grand mom's connivance, Arfeen's life long pain and Saba's last but one letter to Arfeen 20 years ago before disappearing. The Sara-Haider short interlude leaves much to be said but then the director was always rushed up on their track if we recall their courtship track.

But what I disagree is the 'lip service' forgiveness. For us, her forgiveness was complete, sincere and one of the most beautiful aspect of the tale. Only that kind of forgiveness could have infused such a peace, contentment and strength of character in her- fusing her to her Allah, ability to stay dethatched ('nisanga' ) and a state of sublime happiness unspoiled by any trace of bitterness.

The reasons to believe this are-

-When she forgave the main antagonist, the dialogue was… "Allah ke liye maine aapko maaf kiya." …with a very significant grasping of her tormentor's trembling fingers. And first word she used here was Allah…A word she was in love with even before Arfeen, a word she has not invoked even at the time of her worst crises. Besides she had come there on her own, with out an iota of interest in impressing or reclaiming anyone and all. And it was extremely painful for her to cross that road again but yet she came.

-Saba's concerns for Arfeen as described by the manager when returning from Sahibabibi's house as well as from Haider's recollections.

-Her last letter and last directive.

-Very powerful reminiscence of Sara where her mother beautifully explains the power of forgiveness…with simple dialogues… " Takleef?...wo to rehi hi nahi!" Speaking as one who was injured.

-And this must have ultimately saved/redeemed her family…Arfeen, Sara and Haider.

Our POV.
