Glad you enjoyed the Swapnil vs. Sarvadaman video clips; most welcome... haha very true, poor Pramod Kapoor had to do it all over again... bechaara... but I ended up appreciating him even more in the later epis because he's like the only link leftover from RS's part of the serial 😭 Agree with all of your observations about Swapnil's confidence (esp in the chase with Kaalyavan, where RS interestingly has them speak in Urdu-ized Hindi rather than the usual shuddh language to show Kaalyavan's cultural difference) and teen Balram growning into the character gradually... Also agree about adult Balram, lol now that you mention it he does look a lot like Renuka Israni🤣 I think the he and Sarvadaman were bogged by the gaudy makeup caked on their faces, characteristic of late '90s mythos but not RS-quality minimalism that guided his half of the serial - maybe it froze their faces in place so they couldn't give good expressions😆
Just a question - when they repeated these episodes on Utsav, you said they went upto Dwarka Nirmaan with Swapnil - did they happen to include the bhajan which comes immediately after the clip I posted, when Swapnil-as-Krishna tells Akroor to announce the "khula nimantran" for all the Mathuravaasis to move with him? In the tape I had (but can no longer find in order to post the bhajan), they follow up with a scene that shows all the merchants discussing how they have their businesses set up here, why does Krishna want to move all of a sudden, etc and then a blind babaji - the same one who sings part of "Aayo Shubh Din Aayo Ri Sajni" in Ramayan, when Ram's Rajyabhishek is first announced before the vanvaas - goes through the streets convincing them to have faith in Krishna, everything he's doing is for their good... he sings "Chalo re chalo, Krishna premiyon, Krishna ne tumhe bulaaya...".... Do you remember if this bhajan was shown on Utsav by any chance?
and thanks for confirming the info on Urmila Bhatt... wowwww she changed from her bolly days!!! Now every time I see her in an old movie I'm gonna be like, "maa dekh, yeh Sunainaji hai!" 😆 and thanks for sharing the info on her loss and that of the other cast members... very sad indeed, but for us they'll live forever thanks to the brilliant work they did under RS 👏
Million thanks for all of the new lyrics and especially the Vaali Uddhaar dialogues, they were sooooo beautifully written and do such a great job of shutting up all those critics and skeptics! I was really really touched by those final lines of Vaali and the chaupaai and chhand that followed, they prove that it's never too late to apologize and turn a new leaf and that God is ever-merciful... I know there's a story out there that proclaims Vaali was Jara in Dwapar Yug, the hunter who became the instrument of Shri Krishna's mahaprayaan... But I'm more inclined to believe the versions that state that "Indra-putra" Vaali is code for Indra-ansh-avtaar Vaali and Surya Putra Sugreev is Surya avtaar Sugreev - and the corresponding "-putras" in Dwapar were the same... meaning that Vaali=Arjun, Sugreev=Karn, and all allegations of God being partial and picking favorites in either avtaar are therefore negated because he switched it up each time in terms of alliances... it makes even more sense when supported by this dialogue, since Vaali explicitly asks to have that "anuraag" for Ram in his subsequent births which Arjun did in fact share with Shri Krishna... hai na 😳
One more thing - any idea if any of our RS-fan friends over at orkut are musically inclined? Either here, there, or at both places, I'd like to start up some sort of index where we can categorize the magical Ravindra Jain melodies from both shows by raag and discuss/analyze their other musical characteristics. Stupid idea or maybe it'll work??

As far as my memory goes, I saw that last episode on Star Utsav exactly as per your description and the song. Krishna and Balram then fly over the Jarasandh army laughing (That was Sarvadaman and in the immediately previous episode there was Swapnil). And Balram was third Balram. Neither of those two youtube links (Neither of Kansvadh episode Balram who killed Chanur nor that Renuka Isarani's relative 😆). He was the one who begs to Krishna in Golok in earlier episode the birth as an elder brother.
Your explanation about Vaali-Sugreev and Arjun-Karn is excellent. Are you really my sister or what of some birth? 😊 Same thing I have posted in Mahabharat serial community on orkut in couple of threads. One of comparison between Ramayan Mahabharat characters one somewhere else; and that Vaali story of hunter even I don't believe by heart which also I have posted somewhere in the community I will try to find out.
There is one guy in Ramayan serial community Harish Prasad Semwal who posted all songs of Sundar Kand and Lanka Kand after requesting me specifically that I would reserve those songs for him to be posted. Very serious and sincerely dedicated guy. Later, by personally discussing with him on orkut scrapbook, I came to know about his childhood crush for Tulsidasji, RCM, RS, RJ and Ramayan songs. But these days he hardly visits even orkut. Then there is one member sister Neha Handa who likes Balkaand song sequence very much and she has participated too. Then Kushal you all know very well who likes war songs of Indrajeet very much but mainly participated in MB serial community's dialog and doha thread. Then one member sister Rekha deleted her profile from orkut just recently whose posts you will find in the files I will send to you in mail. I will give her the link of IF through mail some day soon. Debipriyaji's name I have already mentioned before but she has seen Ramayan only once in parts and she is the lover of SK and started her journey with MB.
In Ramayan serial community, I have started plenty of variety of threads like 'Meaning of the lyrics of the songs' and 'Identify the singer of the song' to which I have found little support over there. I am always moved to heaven when I listen to the song "Sunu Raghuveer priyaa Vaidehi, tav prabhaau jag videet na kehi". Usually I like and identify male voices only. But what a voice this is!!!! As if the river Ganga is singing itself/herself. Impact like Lataji singing "Ai mere vatan ke logon, jharaa aankh me bhar lo paani" or "Tere liye hum jiye har aansoo piye". I guess that is of Hemlata. Same voice is the voice of Sitaji throughout the serial. "Dheeraj dharma mitra aru naari". "Ajar amar gunnidhi sut hohu", "Jagdambe raksha karo", "Ye ik raat maano yugon se badi hai", "Jo mam vach kram mam ur maahi, tyaji Raghuveer aan gati naahi".
