the ashram is sooooooooooooooooooo serene & there r 2 huge,very beautiful LUV-KUSH temples
a huge idol of SITAJI is there with LUV sitting on her right & kush sittieng on her left
the ashram is very big & there an old age home is also opened by the LUV-KUSH TEMPLE comitte ,so many old ppl who were deserted by their children & those who are homeless stay here ,
they all do the temple work & participate in the aarti 5 times a day
there the ancient TRETA YUGA idols of LORD RAM ,SITAJI ,LUV-KUSH ,LAKSHMAN,BHARAT ,SHATRUGHANA,VALMIKI RISHI & HANUMANJI kept ,all the idols are of black stone ,the archeological survey of INDIA declared them as precious ancient idols
there at the BITHOOR VALMIKI ASHRAM ,the palce where SITAJI went down the EARTH , ,a ditch is there (cemented ditch) called SITA kund is there & there the devotees offer milk !!!
then at that place the heaven stairs r there ,the stairs are make in a very unique way
its a long tower which the devotess hav to climb & look outside the windows ,
the stairs r made in such a round way ,thts one feels difficult to clim them
its said that one who climbs these stairs gets heaven after death !!!!
i climbed those stairs !!!!
a very very old priest with his grand son takes care of the idols of LORD RAM-SITA & the other precious idols ,the priest & his kid grandson are very devoted to the temple !!!
at the baclk of this ashram ,the place where luv-kush tied the ashwamegha yagya horse is there the thick wooden piece inside which a n iron nail was hammered was stuck to the place where luv-kush tied the horse ,its a symbol that horse was tied at that exact point !! in hindi its known as ghode ka kunta (the wooden -iron piece with which a horse is tied)
luv-kush temple are infront of this VALMIKI ASHRAM!!!!
