Hi guys
Just thought I'd post something on our much neglected Kaikeyi Mata - played by Padma Khanna, the woman we love to hate. RS again proved what a cAsting genius he was giving the pivotal role of Kaikeyi to Padma Khanna. Here's some info on her....

The moment you mutter the name 'PADMA KHANNA' the first thing that comes across your mind's screen is the busty and sexy vamp of the 70's who was around into the very late 80's doing her bump and grind numbers in innumerable Hindi films. Soif you want to slot PADMA KHANNA as a cabaret dancer vamp like most people instantly do it would not be totally wrong but neither would it be doing justice to her talent or even projecting a complete picture. After all who can deny that given a decent chance by Rajshree Pictures she could actually match upto AMITABH BACHCHAN and make her presence felt on par with NUTAN in SAUDAGAR.

To begin at the start, PADMA KHANNA was born on 10th March in 1940 (that would make her 69 plus!!!).Even though she was a trained Classical dancer, she did small time roles in Bhojpuri films. While everyone would assume that PADMA KHANNA entered Bollywood with Johnny Mera Naam, nothing could be further from the truth because the fact is that even when she was doing Bhojpuri films, she eagerly made herself available for Hindi films too so her struggle to get noticed began as far back as 1967 when she made her Hindi film debut in 'Meherban' that had SUNIL DUTT & Nutan in the lead along with ASHOK KUMAR. Her second film was 'Baharon Ke Sapne'(which incidentally was RAJESH KHANNA's debut film(thus making her senior to the superstar)along with ASHA PAREKH. She even went on to do CHETAN ANAND'S classic epic 'HEER RANJHA' that had RAAJ KUMAR & PRIYA RAJVANSH in the lead. It was only after these films that she bagged 'Johnny Mera Naam' and was catapulted into the top league of vamps and cabaret dancers.

In the years to follow her work profile boasted of such hits like Reshma Aur Shera, Rampur Ka Laxman, Lal Pathar, Jungle Mein Mangal, Hindustan Ki Kasam,Naina, Loafer, Anhonee, Aaj Ki Taaza Khabar, Anokhi Aada & Dhund. She was also seen in Joshila, Aakhri Dao, Geet Gata Chal, Paise Ki Gudiya, Kashmakash,Ek Se Badhkar Ek, Hera Pheri & Vishwasghat along with Chaila Babu,Noorie and the RAHUL ROY-KARISHMA KAPOOR starrer called 'Megha'. Sadly her contribution in each one of them was not much more than the bump and grind numbers or the seduction routine.

PADMA KHANNA got to show her acting skills in the RAMANAND SAGAR epic 'Ramayana' where she got to play 'Kaikeyi' the step mother of Lord Rama that had ARUN GOVIL & DEEPIKA CHIKILIA in the lead.

With advancing age and no roles coming her way, after spending a few years in retirement in Mumbai, last heard she packed her bags and shifted base to America where she is believed to be teaching dance to all those who remember her contribution to Indian Cinema fondly. Her dancing school was quite a rage till she herself was teaching the moves but now almost 70, she just about manages to make her presence felt with fleeting visits while the rest is handled by her staff and relatives.

Wow, thanks for this info on Padma Khanna!😃 Now we got her B-date too!😛 It's very close to Deepika's.

And here are a bunch of missing Sita Maa moments with which I've included some that weren't deleted, so you could see where the deleted ones fit in. Formal summary I did for youtube: They show Sita Maa finding out about Shatrughan's victory over Lavanasur, Shri Ram giving her credit for it, and some adorable moments in which Maharishi Valmiki and Sita Mata dote on the newborns Lav and Kush.
MUST WATCH Valmikiji showing the babies the toy parrot at 4:07🤣

Thanks for the vid on Lavnasur's prayer to Shivji, the shloka is very nice!😃
And thanks also for the Shatrughan victory song, it's one of my favs, and has a lively beat to it!
I am totally in LOVE with the Sita Maa Valmiki w/babies vid!😍😍😍😍😍😍 It's by far the best vid Deleted scens vid, Deepika and Valmiki's interaction with the babies is soooooo sweet that it convinces me that Deepika is a natural motherly type person! My fav part by far is Valmikiji tickling the babies with his beard.😆 Aww, he acted just like a real doting grandfather to them that it makes us imagine how Janakji would have been towards the babes had Sitaji not been exiled.😭😭 He probably would have lost that strict administrative expression and go all sappy and "I'm trying to make the babies laugh" on the kids.😳😆 Would have LOVED to see Mulraj Rajda in the grandfatherly role, but it's wasn't to be.😭 But I really did enjoy Valmikiji's pampering so THANK YOU Lola for uploading these super sweet sweet scenes!

Will soon do these lyrics along with Soja Lalla and all the wake-up songs, so that we cand get some sorta mom-n-babies wallpaper with baby Ram n Shyam, baby Lav and Kush, and all the divine mommies. Some of the lyrics of this are so 😭... Enjoy!

Why did the DVDs cut off sooo many good scenes.😡 I LOVED this lullaby in the DVD, and it's even sweeter now with all those deleted scenes and part of the song where Sitaji comforts crying Luv or Kush.😳😳😳 She wrote in her interview that her two little daughters are her life....I don't have a bit trouble imagining her in the motherly role.⭐️ I bet she's a great mother.

1st of all gorgeous siggies, Ram Darbaar is back!! Yay!!!

Glad you've enjoyed all the vids so far Lali!!! Totally makes the whole restoration process worthwhile 😃 I too ❤️❤️❤️ Valmiki with the babies moment, even as a kid... when I'd have my toddler tantrums before I started preschool, one of my dad's techniques to cheer me up was copying Valmikiji in that parrot scene - "Dekho, tota! Tota!" It never failed 🤣 There's a home video of him doing it, and 2-3yr old me giggling away, and relatives who watch get all 😕 till we explain where it's from.... Ahhh the sweet memories I have with both RS shows... bliss... 😍 I know, I'm crazy 😳 But they were the 1st tv I ever watched! Sorry, too much info, I'll stop now...

All better. Ok, and totally agree abt Deepika, she was toooooo perfect at showing that motherly instinct, and you'll see more of that in my next vid - another childhood fav of mine 😍 Gotta watch at 4:45, you'll hate those dvd editors even more for doing away with such sweet stuff:

Another batch of missing "moments" between Sita Maa, Maharishi Valmiki, Gautami Maa, and the LavKush as toddlers... again, watch around the 5:20 mark for a toooo cute scene, this time Sita Maa makes naughty Lav help Kush Bhaiya straighten out his toy cart, and Gautami Maa cracks up at how he does a victory dance even after such a small task 🤣

Thanks for liking the sigs!😛 (By the way, will post the rest of wedding update soon.😉 And after that, we'll have some Rakshaskul pic updates because Arvind, Aparajita, and Vijay were superb actors too and deserve to be recognized. In fact, my dad's fav actor in Ramayan was Aravind.)
Aww, your childhood seems so cute and funny.😆😆 Would have loved to see toddler Lola making a tantrum, but since we have a pic of your baby self, shouldn't be too hard imagining.😉
Thanks for this scene as well! Lol, I watched this vid in your channel before you posted it here, because I was addicted by what you already posted and wanted to see what other treasure you had stored in your youtube channel.😉 Must say, my treasure hunt was greatly rewarded! Thank you sooooo much for this sweet vid!!! The expression on baby Luv's face as his mom takes away Kush when he's pulling on his hair is soooo heartbreaking and cute!❤️ My God, I can't get enough of that super cute baby!!!😍
