Anu, I have Push downloaded, and considered watching it for HOTTTTTTTTTTTTTIEEEEEEEEEEEEEE! Chris Evans, but it isn't one of those OMG I NEED TO SEE ITTTT movies for me.... Something I'm saving for an incredibly boring day (=every day of my life, but meh.)

hehe....I had the DVD lying around in my apartment for a week before I even got to it....LOL

It's decent.....not too much of his hotness if that's what you're wanting to watch it for....LOL...it's a thriller and I liked the concept of the different powers the characters have.....they were executed well too....the action sequences are good...but it's not like a 'wow' kind of screenplay....ok types I'd say....but I wasn't bored......so I'd rate that as a positive...lol


Next I need to get to the 'confessions of a shopaholic' movie....guess I'll watch that tomorrow....LOL

I'm watching CNN right now and I'm just disgusted at how freakin psychotic the Republicans have turned the far right in this country....ppl have gone insane.....Obama made a speech to kids at schools just talking in general about how ppl should work hard at their studies and these losers are protesting that too *rolls eyes*

And ofcourse...every single day they call him a Socialist, Communist blah blah....this health care debate has gotten damn ugly :S....this is why I don't watch the news....LOL....I don't think I WANT to know how freakin insane the idiots in this country are.

LOL, I guess it's just one of those movies where you have to "push" yourself to pick it up and watch. :P :P

Expectations, I never have any from these hardcore summer blockbuster kinda movies... You know, like Mr/Mrs Smith, Mission Impossible, Transfromers, etc... The main point of the movies is to show off the CGI effects anyway... I'll give it a watch this week, since mom is gone and I have absolutely nothing to do.

Shopaholic is a really cute movie. I intensely disliked the character in the book, coz she seemed more DERANGED than "quirky"... But Isla Fisher is so adorable and hyper and cute, she really makes it work so so well. The crazy things she does and Hugh's reaction to her madness is really funny and just great to watch. I think you should like the movie.

I don't get the whole hype about the school speech either. Since when is telling the kids to stay in school instead of dropping out and becoming crackheads a bad thing?!?!? I even saw cartoons on the topic saying tht Obama wants the kids to grow up and earn money to pay off the deficit... Are you kidding me??!?! He won't even be in office by the time these kids reach that age... It won't be his problem then.... So stupid... People just creating drama over non-issues. I don't get the whole healthcare thing, so I won't comment on that. :P

Nobody wants to debate this health care issue in a rational, calm manner like civilized human being....they just want to blindly shout the place down saying that Obama is a socialist, he'll turn America into a Communist country blah blah......hadh hai yaar :S....I'm not saying the health care bill is a perfect one.....but to start talking utterly baseless b.s. like this over it is just pathetic! They showed a guy who brought a freakin GUN to a rally and said that a 'civil war' might be upon us....WTF???? Does this not freak you out??

You're right. We can EXPECT this from Indians. It is scarier that these supposedly educated people are this blind. But then formal education only puts fancy words in your head; the sense to use those words properly has to come from something that goes beyond education, I think... Something like tolerance and an open mind... Which is like gibberish to most right-wingers. 🤢

@red: Whoa! That shit is just crazy! This is why I'm kinda against organised religion. I mean, I'm not against other people's religious beliefs, and I believe in a God, I most definitely do, but not in any particular religion/with some specific name... I'd just like to believe in a loving God, who wants us to be happy, and forgives mistakes we may make. The whole "vengeful" God thing is beyond me, because what would be the difference between God and human beings if they both judge someone's actions? And ultimately, religions are man-made. There's no real way of knowing that this is what a God actually wants, other than take the word of the dude who wrote them books...(?) I think religions were first invented to bring some discipline to spirituality - which is a good thing, but then it just all mutated and got outta hand and now, it just divides people, rather than bring them together. Even within one religion, the people are fighting each other, so it's all pointless really.
