Well, I know corporal punishment was allowed here until about the 70s or early 80s. But I know many private and religious schools do use the paddle. Even on the kids in preschool. For example, I know for a young child it is hard to focus so the way to remedy that shouldn't be corporal punishment. It is natural for them to not be able to sit down for hours on end.

@Neeta: The point about the best institutions is correct. The thing is I think I am an average student by those standards. No way I have a 98% average. But then again I also go to a public, government run state school, because I couldn't afford to go anywhere else.

Yeah exactly... 85% over here is considered awesome. Only 1 in 100 people over here get 90%+ in all subject.. LOL!

Cheers and don't worry you'll be alright. A-Levels are main do well in that :) LOL! Even i kinda flopped up in my last unit for every subject, it was too hot and i found it hard to revise, plus there was IC... i couldnt concentarte LOL!

True... I have to agree with you, people get free money here... well not exactly free its the tax they paid while they woired but still it is coz of benefit. LOL!

You know Australia don't consider UK's qualification just like UK don't consider India's LOL! I was considering doing my post-graduate in India or Aus and i was told that i need to resit my under graduate :S
