Here is a brief bit I wrote on this elsewhere. I have to get ready so I can't really wax eloquent on this matter at the moment.
I am so happy that this 148-year-old obsolete law,from the British colonial period, Section 377 of the IPC, has finally been overturned. It has been a long time coming, and it is not going to necessarily remove the stereotypes that are there in such a conservative society. But it is a small step at least and does not criminalize people for being born the way they are and just trying to lead as fulfilling a life as everyone else.
