it is about the profit ratio split between multiplex and producers.. apparently multiplexes are arm-wrestling small budget movies and some others

watch the sensational news on which star enterd which room.. which star wore what dress fr the strike/ equal rights action...

and watch multiplex owners face-off film community in the big fight on tv....

when i was in india, if i was really really bored, i used to watch TIMES NOW fr some drama content in news. :P

Indian news channels are a joke......I was horrified to see how much they've degenerated when I visited India after 6 years.....It's all become crappy beyond recognition.

When I used to be there, we only had a few news channels....they'd just started with the 24 hr news networks...Star News and Aaj tak...and they were both good back then....lekin ab toh.....eekks! Dhabbaas on the name of journalism.

The few bits I had to watch during the terrorist attacks in Mumbai recently....made me ashamed of Indian news media.
