A warm, masculine hand wrapped around my bare waist, bringing me back to consciousness. The touch seemed alien yet familiar. My heavy eyelids refused to open so I instead relied on my ears to eavesdrop on the noises around me. I could hear distinct footsteps and muffled shouts. But the most distinguishable was the breathing. The raw, rugged breathing of a person who seemed to have run a mile. Even the heavy breathing seemed familiar yet I couldn't put a name to him.

Prologue
A warm, masculine hand wrapped around my bare waist, bringing me back to consciousness. The touch seemed alien yet familiar. My heavy eyelids refused to open so I instead relied on my ears to eavesdrop on the noises around me. I could hear distinct footsteps and muffled shouts. But the most distinguishable was the breathing. The raw, rugged breathing of a person who seemed to have run a mile. Even the heavy breathing seemed familiar yet I couldn't put a name to him.
Another warm hand enveloped around my neck and gently pulled me towards a hard chest. A chest which harboured a rapidly beating heart. The hand on my waist slid up to my upper back and started patting me slowly. It did help soothe my nerves. But more than that it picqued my curiosity.
Where was I? And how did I get here? As questions after questions bombarded my mind, fear started bubbling in my stomach. And surprisingly, out of all other frightening fears, none of themt was about the person holding me. Someing about the touch was comforting and I felt safe.
