SS:Time of my life

She could literally feel steam emerging from her ears and her heels cracked like whiplashes on the floor. The first year students who were coming from their classes cowered when she marched across them, her eyes spitting fire. Reaching the Ladies' room she yanked the door open and slammed it behind her. The crash of glass hitting the floor from inside sent the peon scurrying to the Principal's office.

"What.The Bloody.F..Fish!" Kria changed her last word seeing a girl coming out of a washroom cubicle, looking at her like she was bonkers. Which wasn't wrong entirely if thought about. No sleep, no proper food and continuous crying made the best of people look like shrivelled and decaying pumpkins. "Kya samajhte hain apne aap ko? Kitni baar sorry bolun main?! Ehsaan kar rahe hain ya cooperate?! " Kria raved on to her Universeji , not minding how she sounded. "Ek suggestion kya de diya , koi gunah kar diya samjho! Itni lambi lecture aur who bhi aise attitude ke saath as if wo koi ..Urgh! Mujhe to abhi gaali bhi nahi aa rahi!" she stomped her foot and threw her hands up. It had been her 100^th attempt at trying to resolve the awkwardness but NO. Why would Mr.Smarty-Pants-Who-Talks-Like-A-Yogi Baba Rey and his Timbaktu ki Princess friend Sharanjeet (HA!) Rai Prakash cooperate?! It was not as if, she was here to help THEM right?! Why would they care if she had apologized and tried to tell the truth? Why would St.Louis's mahaan gyaanis Vicky-mahadev and Neel-yogeshwar bother if she was trying to make their future venture better? Why would her stupid idiotic best friend Swayam "Silent Zone" Shekhawat interfere when his girlfriend (oh excuse me, EX) ranted on and on and on about loyalty, ethics and honesty instead of performing the simple routine? Kria felt like punching the mirror but settled for a little less. She threw the toilet roll on it. "Now I'm being stupid in my anger management as well" she grunted and sat on the floor, her head in her hands.

The knock on the door grew persistent after 15 minutes of continuity and Kria almost snarled with frustration. Calming herself with a deep breath and some quick checks of her face in the mirror, she finally opened the door. And almost shut it back immediately after seeing the person on the other side.

"Kria, don't you dare close the door" he said in a stern voice , one hand stopping the door while one foot acted as a door-jamb. Kria sighed with irritation and left the door open, going back inside and sitting down in the previous pose. He quirked a small smile on seeing her angry but cute pout and imitated her position on the floor. "Ab kya chahiye? Mera dimaag toh kha chuke hain wo, ab tum kya khaane aaye ho?" she grumbled without looking at the guy sitting next to her. "Khaane to nahi, lunch kar chukka hoon thank you." He replied lightly making her roll her eyes. "Some reaction is better than none" he thought to himself and put one hand on her shoulder. Kria tensed for a moment but then relaxed. "Kyun aaye ho Swayam" she sighed.

Swayam knew that the tricky part was now. How would she react if he told her that her secret was out? That he, her sworn confidant, had gone berserk and spilled the beans. He knew that Kriya always hated sympathy and right now, the entire gang was dripping with the damned touchy-feely sentiment. "Tumhare heel ka size kya hai?" he asked looking innocently at the said black pump-heels. Kria frowned slightly at the strange question but then shrugged "6, kyun?" she asked turning to look at him partially. "Kyunki main jaan na chahtha tha ki meri injuries ke degree kya honge after this." He said with a sheepish expression.

"SWAYAM!" The yell after 5 minutes gave hint of the bashing good old Swayam was going to get from the flustered Kria.

Rey felt numb. That was the best word he found to describe the lead weight in his chest right now. Not cold, not sad but just numb. He had said so much, too much honestly, to her. None of them were justified now. Every hurtful taunt, every snide remark and every cold glare came back to prick him. It was so obvious now that he knew the truth. She could have never betrayed them. Never betrayed HIM. She had lost so much, borne so much and still she was here. For them. For HIM, he thought as he remembered Swayam's words "Usne sab kuch daav pe laga diya sirf tumhaare liye..hamare liye." The words had been different but the look In Swayam's eyes was clear. She had come back for him and his dream. And he had all but shattered her hopes. "Itni bhi der nahi hua right bro?" he heard Vicky say beside him and look at him from the corner of his eyes. He should have known that Vicky would understand. Swayam was his partner, Sharon his sister but Vicky was his Chuddy Buddy. The person who had warned him about Kria in the beginning, who had supported his love after knowing the intensity, the guy who always had his back. Vicky looked a little insensitive but Rey knew otherwise. "Rey, its not too late bro. Aisa chance sabko nahi milta. You should try again. Phirse koshish kar yaar." he said , keeping his hand on Rey's back in a gesture of support. The thought was maybe a little too optimistic but that's all he had now. And Reyaansh Singhania would not let this opportunity go.

Next part peek: "I swear Rey, ek aur step and I..main chillaaungi." She whispered her eyes glued to his. He hardly looked like he would agree and advanced one more step. "Chillau baatcutter. Usika toh intezaar hai" he said with THAT look in his eyes and she heard her breath hitch. Oh God, now what?!
