So needless to say, all the little SwaRon swishes to tonight's episode were awesomeness for me. But one thing that made me sit up and take notice most of all was that scene in Bharat's garage, with all that talk of how Swayam would dream of Sharon there and get her car serviced for free...some refreshing memories of the Aa Ja Meri Jaan sequence, plus snippets of ancient scenes that have Swayam in full-on fawning Majnu mode! BADA wala nostalgia toh hua hi dekh ke, but what really shone out in those little snippets was two things: the growth in Shantanu as an actor, and the growth in Swayam as a character, BOTH of which are things that make me, as a viewer, extremely happy and proud.
Shantanu in those little snippets as opposed to Shantanu in the present scene were SUCH a study in what a journey of learning can really lead you to! I'm not saying he was bad earlier, he was good the way he was, and the way he was meant to be, but with time the soppy-majnu mode of his acquired so much more variation in the way he performed it! I honestly feel SO happy and SO proud to see how far he has come from back then, and how a great part of why I love Swayam and the character that he is today owes to Shantanu's playing him so brilliantly well, in all his facets and shades that emerged over the years! Kudos to him, and touchwood too, I say. 👏
And Swayam...the clearest example is the very scene in which these snippets of the past were placed: he loves her the way he always has, but he's willing to contradict her where he knows she needs to be contradicted in her ideas. He's been like that for a long time, yes, but this was a side to him that wasn't so clear at the time of the flashbacks shown. Which is exactly my point: that it made itself clearer over time, his love for Sharon and his relationship with her - by which I don't mean the 'trial' relationship but in general the equation/bond/connection he has with her - has acquired so many shades and layers over time, and Swayam as a character has grown with them right before my eyes! Aaj ke flashes just made this stand out really clearly for a moment, and I just really felt like sharing it here. 😃
I'm basically a VERY happy and proud SwaRon fan talking. See this post as my own little round of applause for Shantanu as well as the writers of D3, for giving me a graph so phenomenal when it comes to SwaRon and their storyline since the beginning of D3. TOUCHWOOD. Seriously. 👍🏼
