Okay SO. Tonight's precap hit HARD. And I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that.
It's already splashing about like a puddle as so many of us run into it with our own conclusions and opinions...and is therefore a bit of a mess at this point. Why I'm saddened by it is one thing, why I think a lot of people are going to be royally annoyed by it, is quite another. I wanted to put the two in one comprehensive place. Hence, this topic.
One person who's going to attract a lot of ire, and not surprisingly, is Sharon. So yes, I'd really want to pre-empt all the rage by first saying to everyone that the scene is YET TO AIR. PLEASE don't begin drawing conclusions on her character BEFORE you see the WHOLE thing. We don't want a repetition of what happened after that Shivam-kisses-Sharon promo, right? 😳
Now that that's said, I also want to say that I'm HOPING I'm not entirely incorrect in saying this, and for that this is my plea to the CVs: PLEASE don't disappoint us by turning Sharon into some sort of insensitive slab of stone. The way you've been going with her, I do think you've been really brilliant in creating such a complex and nuanced character. Touchwood. I hope that's how it'll remain, and that we'll get to see even more sides to her now.
Now, onto what's annoying me. Yes, I don't like Sharon's tone or her swagger either. But somewhere, I still do believe it's put on precisely to have that effect on Swayam. To make him angry, challenge him so that he might stay on just to prove her wrong in her smugness and arrogance. What's bothering me, is that after this, even if Swayam stays, I'm afraid there's only going to be heightened bitterness between these two. And I hate the idea of that happening. I guess in some ways, you could reconcile that wioth the storyline, but I really hope this won't be stretched too far. It's painful enough to watch them all angsty and struggling within themselves, and I really don't think I'd want to see actual bitterness coming in from Swayam's side, since even he doesn't seem to be seeing through her this time. Or, of course, the precap could lead to something totally different, and I'd be all impressed and admiring again. LOL. 😳
So yes, all that ranting amounts to just this: One, I don't want people hating Sharon just yet, and request everyone to wait till the entire scene airs before drawing conclusions, and Two, I don't want Swayam hating her either...in the sense that, I don't like the idea of actual bitterness of this sort between them, and certainly not for too long...so there. Would love to know what everyone else thinks! 😊
