I seriously dont know but I kinda think its the first and the second option combined. I think he might have called Sharon (since it IS new years) to spend time with her or whatever and she just passively told him whats happening.

i feel like simmi and rinni called him since they saw how sharon had been impressed by shivam and they were at the party together!!

i really think simmi rinni did something stupid like tht :(
