So yes. A promo like last evening's couldn't have been more effective in setting the entire forum abuzz with speculations. Good job with that, CVs, promo bhi solid banaya. Happy for KriYansh fans, and heart-breaking for SwaRon fans. Quite a study in contrasts, and very well executed.
I'm loving the shape SwaRon seem to be taking, finally. Swayam finally crumbling under the pressure of having to pretend like he doesn't care what Sharon does, or who she's with. Because when he actually SEES he like that, with someone other than him, his guard collapses. Shantanu Maheshwari, if the promo is anything to go by, you've done a BRILLIANT job in this sequence, and we're all SO proud of you! 🤗
But the good part aside, one thing that's really making me sad is the response Sharon's getting from all this. I know she's being AWFUL right now, but keeping her entire character in mind, is the half-scene in the promo reason enough to HATE her? Might be for some, and I wouldn't blame them either, but for me, personally, it isn't.
First of all, I think before we freak out and lash out at her for making Swayam cry like that, we should wait for the ENTIRE sequence to air. We know how he reacts, but we DON'T know how the Sharon-Shivam moment actually plays out. Wouldn't it be a tad more fair if we first waited to see exactly what she does too?
And as far as letting herself be in that position in the first place goes, remember the BTS interview? Sneha and Shantanu both pointed out that this is also a manifestation of Sharon's egotism and denial. She's not evil...just human and flawed. More flawed than a lot of people, the way she's been portrayed, but human nevertheless. She's blindly heading towards what she thinks is a better direction for her than Swayam, but the coming of Chee-Vam is meant to make her realise that there is no better direction for her. Swayam is it. And I think we need to have some patience to watch her understand that.
Here's hoping the CVs don't let us down, and give us a good, sensible storyline and character development for her, in good time.
