I Think the show has a big popularity, but the thing is that channel V is not so popular tv channel. and i don't think that many has it. And plus the TRPS just counts in India and not outside. So i can't do anything abt it😭. But so much i have seen i watch the show on dailymotion or Youtbe. the show lookes really popular. they are many people how comments and many channel's for D3.

Even if this show is moderately popular on India-Forums, that doesn't mean it has the same popularity in India.

1) A lot of people that watch this show don't live in India and so they don't contribute to the TRPs which definitely lowers the TRP.

2) This show doesn't have any major telly actors. Everyone is new and they're actually dancers. Given that, people choose to watch shows with well-known names instead rather than take chances with this one.

3) This show also doesn't air on a major channel like StarOne or StarPlus which would have definitely caused more awareness and boosted the TRPs even.

4) And finally, this show is about dance! Or at least it claims to be...I'm disappointed with the dance aspect of this show, though because I have seen Kunwar-Shakti on DID and I have seen Archie, Macedon and Shantanu's performances on IndiaFest and these people are very talented! They just need to hire better choreographers for them! Having said that, some people still prefer the saas-bahu rona-dhona type soap operas, instead of youth-oriented ones like D3

So...keeping all that in mind, it's not surprising that D3 actually doesn't have amazing TRPs.

I don't think so that D3 is not popular or something like this. TRPs are not at all a genuine tool for measuring popularity. It can only give verdict of a limited area where these TRPs are being recorded. I am from India and it's quite popular show as far as I know. People know about D3. Channel V has first time come up with something like this so it will definitely gonna take some time to get that TRPs as the PH or channel is wanting. I am very much against these TRP thing because it's very narrow and limited concept for measuring popularity. D3 has more than 1,30,000 likes on a social networking site( I don't know taking name is allowed or not). That's how we can know that it is popular in youth. D3 is something trend setter as no body has ever can think of a dance based fiction show in India. It is popular according to me.

Yeah, the TRP stuff sucks...I mean, I don't understand how people watch the saas-bahu shows. But because people really love them, more and more of those shows keep coming on. It's like this feedback loop.

i dont think Palki n KSG meant to say that D3 is not popular
D3 is actually doing really well 4 Channel V that why they made it mon-fri now
n ii think Palki meant that maybe with the entrance of KSG, the TRP will probably go even higher cuz he has his crazy fans who will probably watch the show when he enters
i know many of my DMG n KSG fans who r gonna watch the show when KSG enters
so she probably meant that the TRP will go higher with the entrance of KSG
n if u compare D3 with DMG then DMG was more popular n had more TRP cuz ppl knew Star One n DMG but not many ppl know about Channel V
so 4 Palki, D3's TRP is low when compared to DMG's but still D3 is doing a great job 4 Channel V n it will take time 4 it to get more popular

hey guys,
i agree with most of your points. but disagree on one, TRPs are not just contributed by Indians but NRIs as well. I live in Canada (all Indian channels including MTV, V are aired there with the help of dish), and trust me people living abroad like saas bahu shows more than Indians because its their way of staying connected with their roots (I dont agree with this concept at all).
I also, remember one interview of Karan for DMG where he urged his fans to watch the show on TV and then on internet so, they can measure their popularity and keep the show on air, one of the reasons why the channel pulled of DMG. I think if we watch it on you tube etc. especially if the videos are not being uploaded by the channel or the producer, we are contributing to a form of piracy as its illegal for people to uplaod the videos (who dont have a copyright).

A show is popular ONLY when PPL watch it on TV in INDIA or on their web-site.. .. So it does not matter that we keep this forum active OR that the D3 fan page has more than 130, 000 likes or not.. HOW do we know how many of those LIKES are actually by fans based in INDIA or how many of them are ppl living abroad?

Unfortunatley.. Fans abroad DO NOT contribute to TRPS at all even though they have DISH TV etc.. ONLY INDIAN audience counts!!

A SHOW is always at the mercy of the channel. A show can be pulled off air at anytime.. DOES not matter what we think of it!!! OR how much we cry and yell...

THE ONLY WAY D3 will continue to STAY ON AIR is if more and more PPL in INDIA watch this show.. OR PPL living abroad must watch LIVE streaming on Channel V website OR watch videos on their website!!!

Watching on YOUTUBE is actually WORTHLESS !

I REALLY URGE THE INDIAN YOUTH TO WATCH THIS SHOW ON TV!!

again i disagree, there are a lot of fans of D3 from india, they are all youngsters though.
i was introduced to this show by my friends in India who asked me to watch it after Mahi way and Rishta.com went off air.
I think the internet is a bigger force for youngsters everywhere, so, may be the youth in India watched it online too (as then you dont have to stick to a specific time, as in the case of T.V.
and I agree with Asmi, watch this show on TV or through proper internet channels to make the numbers count

Unfortunately I cannot Watch D3 Live , but, people in India should be aware of this Show. The show is extremely popular, but that only counts if people watch it on TV. I have no idea about this TRPs and all since D3 is the first fiction show I am watching (Just because of Amar and Shakti) and I don't know how TRPs work, but I understand that India's channel run on TRPs. If TRP rating is high...it means the show is popular. Youtube, Dailymotion me dekhne waloh ki toh kohi value hi nahi hai...

I remember in one of the earlier interviews of Amar and Shakti for D3, Shakti said "my Dad never used to see channel [V]. Woh bolte the yeh kya channel hai..naach gaana aata rehta hai. Par aab channel [V] dekhne lage hai, D3 ke promos ke liye wait karte hai" ...
I think this is the story of every house in India...eveybody says the same thing ...Yeh kya channel hai...naach gaana aata rehta hai...

For that Reason, D3 creatives should make people in India aware about this show. They should do promotions in various cities.

I have watched a few Dance reality shows of India and I have seen people gathered in number of thousands for auditions. If creative can pull those crowd, D3 would do extremely well in TRP as well...The program would relate to those people who are aspiring to become Dancers, choreographers since the entire D3 cast are professional Dancers who ofcourse started from zero and now they are the Hero...Best example is our HERO Kunwar Amarjeet Singh..
