Chapter 1 Part 2: Mr. Manish Rajan

Mr. Manish Rajan was one of the worn-out policeman. The thirty six yr old detective was hesitant even to return to headquarters for a cup of tea. He was incharge of making enquiries in the near by areas of the station. At the end of the day all the information will be revived by the team but turned up with no developments.

It was nearly midnight before he reached his home that night.

When he rang the door bell, Shilpa Rajan, his wife opened the door quickly so that the bell sound may not interrupt their son's sleep.

Manish ji: Are u awake still?? Opened the door so quickly.

Shilpa ji: Yeah wasn't feeling sleepy today though I know u will be late today also. Any developments in the case??? U look so tired.

Manish ji: Removing his shoes "No developments. We are fed up of this case. It's been 2 months but no clue of the murder or victim. List of people with name Sahu is flowing into office but we are not clear of it."

Shilpa ji: Had anything for dinner?? If not I have cooked little food for u.

Manish ji: No didn't have any today. Serve some food along with a cup of tea. Mean while I will change.

Shilpa ji: Putting a worried face for him goes to serve food and prepared tea for him.

Manish ji: Ahh so hungry today!!! Didn't get time to have any thing today it was real hectic day.

Shilpa Ji: Dear I'm really worried abt u. Take care of urself when u are on duty. It's abt ur health that I stress these words daily.

Manish ji: Changing the topic and sipping the tea "Did Rushi gone to bed??"

Shilpa ji: Yes even today he waited for u for long time and gone to bed. He is missing u. U must take some time to spend with him. It's been 2 months u spent time with him and took him out.

(Manish ji finished the coffee and went to Rushi's room and was caressing him.)

Shilpa ji: Don't awake him now. I tried hard to make him sleep.

Manish ji: U r right. I too feel like being ages that I spent time with my son. Its this case that makes me so tired.

Saying so both went to bed. It was 8.00 A.M. the next morning. By the time Manish ji woke up Rushi already left to School.

Shilpa ji: Giving him the tea cup "Good Morning! Had good sleep last night??? And what time will u be leaving to head quarters??"

Manish ji: "11.00 A.M. Today I have some time. Did Rushi left of school??"

Shilpa ji: "Yes! Oh then have something and leave. It's ready."

Manish ji: Getting bored switched on the T.V, watching news he slipped to light sleep again on the sofa. At 9.30 A.M. Shilpa ji received a phone call and woke him up saying its SS on line.

Hearing the name he suddenly woke up and received the call. "Yes! Tell me. I was waiting for ur call."

SS: "Sir! I doubt whether Sahu is the name of a person. I found the name of Sahu in the map of HP. It is a Hill station 'Sahu Hills' a place not very far from Shimla. May be the victim was mentioning abt this. Only a possibility. Why not try in this direction. Hope u can get any positive response. I had couriered u detailed details of this place and u may receive it in less than an hour."

Manish ji: "Ahh! That's wonderful. Hoping to see light in this direction. Thank u. Will contact u later then bye." Saying so he disconnects the phone.

In half an hour he received the courier. He opens it fastly and reads all the details of the place and jumps in excitement. He rushes to his room and gets ready to leave to the office.

Shilpa ji surprises to see him and asks u said u had time. Its only 10'o clock now. Why are u rushing so fastly.

He says he started to see some light in the case and it is necessary that he must call for a meeting with chief. He leaves without having anything for which Shilpa ji disappoints.

Police Head Quarters

Suraj Sachdev: "Radhika! Did u arrange for the meeting in the conference hall? By now Manish will be reaching the office. Must have got some important clue that he called for sudden meeting. Inform me as soon as he arrives."

Radhika: "Yes sir! Every thing is ready. And I have informed to all the team abt the meeting too."

Mean while there is a knock at the door and it is Manish ji.

Suraj Ji: "Oh u have come. Then lets go straight to the meeting room." And saying so they left to the conference room.

Manish ji: Dear team! I am here with certain clue. Today I have received a courier from SS and found that there is a place name Sahu hills near Shimla. I am assuming that the victim was indicating to this place. (And he explains abt the place in detail). Lets give a try in finding out from this place if anybody knows abt this person. Now that we received the victim's photo from the department who tired to get his clear picture. Ahh what a good sign! And saying so every one has seen the picture of the victim. So this is how he used to appear.

The above photo (imaginary) is the person murdered, was released by the investigation team. Yet the details are to be known

All has now came to a conclusion that it can be the place that victim was mentioning.

Suraj ji: Manish! If that is the case we will call the Chief inspector of Shimla to find out the details.

Saying so they ended the meeting and then sent all the details of the case and info required to the police station of Shimla.

3 days later they received a call from Chief Inspector regarding the case.

Phone call was transferred to Suraj's Room. As other team was also there it was on loud speaker.

Amar Ahluwalia: Hello Mr. Suraj. This is Amar Ahluwalia, Chief inspector of Shimla Police Station. We have received ur fax details 3 days ago and I have made enquires in the Sahu hills.

According to the people in the locality, they didn't recognize the person in the photo but something stranged thing happened.

2 days before we received ur call i.e. a week ago, the local people saw a stranger in the place. The hotel owner said "Nothing special about him but his appearance was very weird."

Suraj ji: In what terms u say his appearance was weird?

Amar Ji: Well I cannot give entire details on the phone. It will be good if someone would be here to know the details.

Suraj ji: Ok u want some one to be there no problem we will be sending our team members to get the details from u. Thank u once again.

Manish! I want u to go to that place for enquiry as it was u who gave this clue. Mr. Aditya will accompany u as he is with u from the start. Now they are all set to go for Sahu hills.
