most of my updates will be a mixture of various articles. but this detailed part wasn't there in any other articles. so thought let me post this part from the book.it is so detailed and good one.Swetha
Chandragupta & Others Role during the invasion
Chandragupta, now an able and mature warrior deft in all branches of martial arts, was the natural choice as the leader of the armed guards.
Sinharan headed the supply wing. Since Sinharan's homeland was close by, he was expected to procure the weapons traveling between Takshila and Malav.
Mehir, the Persian Student, was the chief of the sleuths wing.
Due to invasion, large no. of rufugees were flooded to Takshila, many were leaving their home land and fleeing.
When Alka reached Ashram, Chanakya was found lost in his thoughts.
She informed that Greeks were demanding for passage through Gandhar.
Acharya said that Ambhik has agreed for it and he was granted a large chunk of gold n half of Panchanadpradesh. He took a very wrong step. They won't spare him either. Their leader so called diety's son is almost here.
I have seen his messenger in sage Dandayan's hut. He will be visiting the sage this evening.
I have sent Sinharan to warn Parvateswar about the invasion. Before I leave there I would like to see this divine man. Chandragupta will accompany me and we will be in disguise of hermits.
He asked Alka to leave immediately to the palace to find the conditions of the treaty from Ambhik.
When she reached there she learnt that Ambhik was discussing it with the king. First she thought of being there but seeing at Ambhik's expressions she left the cabinet room in a thought that she would learn this from her father later.
Meanwhile Chanakya proceeded to the banks of river Jhelum. Chandragupta and all had formed a big relief camp which was actually a army camp in disguise of refugees.
Chandragupta's job was to train them physically, while Chanakya would instill in them the sense of nationalism by his speeches.
By now CGM had developed into a robust young man. And Acharya found him assuring the real shape of his dream. He (CGM) worked like a horse and never cared for his own.
That day too he was running with temperature but still he came to take Acharya to the camp.

Meeting Selucus and understanding the plan of Greeks
While returning from the camp, they were very near to Takshila, CGM stopped his horse as he was feeling giddy and want to take some rest.
While Chanakya went to bring some water, CGM lost his consciousness and fell under the tree.
When Chankya returned, he saw CGM lying uncounscious and nearby an extremely fair man in leather attire, with blood smeared sword who has killed a lion which was abt to attack CGM.
Chanakya profusely thanked him and asked who he was.
He answered that he is a Greek Solider - Selucus. And he has come for hunting.
Chanakya sprinkled water on CGM n made him to drink some herbal water. Then he narrated and introduced each other.
Then he asked Selucus whether the Greeks crossed the river for which Selucus surprised n asked how he knew that they were on the other bank of river.
C answered it's a basic knowledge and thanked him again for saving CGM. Selucus invited him to visit the camp as it is not far off form the place.
C then asked how CGM is feeling and searched for their horses. To find them he climbed a tree n to his surprise he also had a glance of greek camp.
He said to CGM to make a move immediately as the greeks may cross the river to night or 2moro.
But CGM didn't understood why they r not crossing the river now and they chose to cross the river from a difficult place and asked abt it to Chanakya.
He said it's this passage which is near to Panchanad Pradesh. So they selected this way. This is the info I wanted to know precisely. The time is less and I have to move to Panchanad Pradesh.
He wanted to help puru n in return he will ask him to help in winning over Magadh.
CGM said that the greek who we met may not be a soldier but he may be a important official by looking at his dress. I have learnt this during my trips to their camp in disguise with Mehir.
U r right and we will be finding abt him from Mehir. And when they asked Mehir abt him he said he is very influential general of Greek army and is believed to be almost next to Alexander.
He said so CGM guessed it correct and now he must leave to Panchanad Pradesh. He ordered CGM n Mehir to go to Sage Dandayan's place to find who they are and what they want??
He also said that if they invite u again do go to their place and find their strategy as I heard that they fight differently.
He assured that CGM's presence will generate trust and also I have my people there to protect CGM.
He then immediately left to Panchnad Pradesh and reached soon to the surprise of Sinharan.
