The actress is visibly excited about her new venture that is completely different from Khanak, the character that made her a household name.
Yashashri says, "Khanak was a cute and simple village girl and Mrignayani is a princess, so the two roles are completely different. I did not get much time to prepare for the role, therefore my director helped me to get into the skin of the character."
Speaking about her look, the actress reveals, "My look is of a typical historical princess look with a bustier, dhoti and heavy jewelery. The look is nice although a little heavy with the jewelery weighing about 2 kgs. It takes me about an hour and a half to get ready."
The actress has shifted to Vadodara as the show is being shot there and claims that she is already missing Mumbai. Yashashri adds, "I miss my roommates and family in Mumbai. I also miss the traffic and all the noise in the city as Vadodara nice and calm with a lot of greenery around."
Speaking about the upcoming track, the actress says, "We are currently shooting the first meeting scene of Chandragupta Maurya and Mrignayani." Yashashri is all praise for co-star Ashish Sharma as she says, "Ashish is a simple and nice guy. He is a complete gentleman."
On a parting note, the actress quips that although her fans are watching Chandragupta Maurya, they have one grouse. Yashashri laughs, "My fans have accepted my new role and have been very supportive but they are still cribbing that Karan Tacker and I are not starring in the show together. I hope they get used to seeing me with Ashish now."
