The first episode; Watching this was a really new experience as I hadnt watched this episode from start to end before.
The grant set up of its launch, the first complete prologue, all those successful elements were there to mark an history on TV and as well the mini screen viewing experience.

Something that is to be specially pointed out is the mention of Nandini or Kalyani from real history
and their relevation that this story is about Nandini's role in Chandra's life more than Chandra himself. So they are telling it emphasizing on this fact and indicates that Nandini is not just a fictional character. It was just unfortunate that her name was not marked in history as she hadn't captured any throne, despite being a warrior queen and there is no any living evidence like any monument like Taj Mehal for she had captured his heart even . It was simply unfortunate as they say. But they chose this aspect of CGM's life itself as it had a lot of potential. And now even when they show the shadows of Chandini in the prologue we can't imagine anyone other than RS for CN. Kudos to the casting.

Moora was a strong woman in the beginning, as Bharat ma said, the story of CN is in complete without her.
Surya gupt. It is a known fact that moon shines in the light of sun. Here too Chandra reflects the light of Surya gupt only. He was an ideal King and husband so is Chandra and Chandra had followed the words of Surya gupt he heard for the first time, through out his life. There is an unseen bond with this father and son duo through out even though they haven't seen each other ever or had any combination scene.

Feels pitty for Sishunag in the serial for he couldn't realise his wife's betrayal for more than a decade, despite being a King. We saw Nand, the strongest and most daring villan of the series in his true colors. The Nand we saw today is miles apart from the great Maha Padmanand making us think what made Queen Avantika betray her King for this unsophesticated and cruel Nand. Deep in him there lies a human in the form of Pita Maharaj, for whom we all had liked his character despite he being the most cruel villan the show has seen and this first episode portrays the cruelty and true face of Nand, to the most.

@Abi, Nandini
Sorry guys for being late. I was supposed to post the review earlier itself but I just took a 5 minutes nap in between but that 5 minutes unknowingly became a few hours 😆
Hope the review wont disappoint .

Thanks for this awesome take on the epi alanta😳
The start was really good with its lavish set and about pita maharaj he is the only antagonist we couldn't hate , such a well written character he was
From today's episode we can understand from where Chandra's possessiveness rooted for nandhu, it is of course from moora mummy😆 she's not even allowing machar how will he allow Malay😆

Yes @abi, I was thinking that while watching the episode, how possessive was Moora for Surya Gupt. She was strictly against his remarriage. When it came to her daughter in laws, she was ok 😆
Hehe About Chandra's possessiveness about Nandini, better not said much 🤣, woh toh uski peeche padh gaya tha and just gives the name as hatred to mislead others but actually it was possessiveness out of love 😆
Though he was happy and proud about the fact that Nandini loved and cared for Bindusar more than Chandra, whenever he asked her, she loves her son more than him or whenever she said, she had returned to Magadh just for Bindusar, there was a hidden pain in Chandra that was subtly evident through his eyes and voice.

His possessiveness is always worth watching😉 how he always used to shoo her and run behind at the same time😆 In the name of dadi ma😳
