From the beginning of this show I have never seen even a single hint of Jalal in Chandra. Rajat is truly blessed in his arts. A very convincing and clever actor. I think he does method acting, where you imagine/turn yourself into the character and mentally tune yourself as the character. Like voluntarily giving yourself a split personality.Jalal was arrogant, bullish, and had the whole space he occupy be about him, before Jodha turn him into somewaht of a lapdog. Even after that, he was confident and shrewd. And he was always the EMPEROR. There was no doubt about it. Any space he walks, he emanates the power.Chandra was on the opposite pole. He was vulnerable, humble, polite and he blends into the space he occupy. He does not stand out as the man with power, because he himself does not realise how powerful he is.And there is so much difference in the body language too. Jalal always came across as hard - chest out, powerful strides, straight back and strong voice. Chandra is softer. Though he does not hunch he keeps himself low. His paces are fast but not powerful. And his voice is sort of singsong.Jalal was a man of supreme authority, and Chandra is a boy of undiscovered potentialIt is amazing how a single actor brings 2 completely different person on the screen.

Yes aish, there is no jalal and there never was. Rajat pulls off the difference of the two characters splendidly.👏His change of expressions during her death and ones Nandini got her life back was magnificent to me and it was like, as Aunty mentioend in her JA posts many times , he has a micro-meter in his head. Seems he has upgraded that to a nano-meter while being developed and differentiated into Chandra's character.Must say aunty and you are absolutely correct on this... nano or micro...this man has something in his mind, which others don't haveDuring nandini''s ji bhar ke rona scene the grief , the suffering was clearly reflected in chandra's eyes where one can feel nandini's pain in them but not in her weep.
completely agree...and I wish nandini gets over from her grief soon.SBP isn't doing a great job here...though good thing is she is ticking to underplayingwant to give him a tight 🤗... for his performences 😉are you sure just for performance...nothing with those killer looks😉

THE TWO CHARACTERS ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT IN BACKGROUND, UPBRINGING AND CIRCUMSTANCES ETC, SO THERE IS HARDLY A REQUIREMENT FOR SIMILARITYAND I HAVE ALWAYS MAINTAINED THAT WHILE WE TALK ABOUT ACTORS WHO BRING OUT VARIETY IN ROLES OF DIFFERENT GENRES, RAJAT HAS EXCELLED IN BRINGING OUT THIS VARIETY WITHIN THE GENRE OF HISTORCIALS, AND WONDERFULLY AT THATALL I WANTED WAS THAT THE CVS HANDLE THIS SCENE WITH A SIMILAR SENSIBILITY AS IT WAS HANDLED IN JA, WITH THE HOPE THAT RAJAT GETS A FEW MINUTES TO COMPLETELY BOWL US OVER WITH HIS PERFORMANCEYES HE ALWAYS DOES THAT - BOWL US OVER REPEATEDLY, BUT YET THAT SCENE IN JA WAS ONE OF HIS SUPERIOR SCENES IN THE SHOWAND OF COURSE, WHAT WE GOT WAS A SORT OF A BOTCHED UP AND HURRIED SCENE, WHERE NANDINI DYING ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE A WRONG DIAGNOSIS BY THE VAIDYA 😆I FEEL CVS COULD HAVE TAKEN A LITTLE MORE TIME AND MADE IT A BETTER VISUAL EXPERIENCEWHEN SHWETA GETS EXTRA SCREEN SPACE AS BOTH NANDINI AND ROOPA, CVS SHOULD GIVE RAJAT TOO SUCH OPPORTUNITIES TO GET SOME XTRA SCREEN SPACE. EVER SINCE THE WAR AND THE EMERGENCE OF TOO MANY LADIES, THIS HAS NOT HAPPENED

If you remember's aunty's reference of the Mazhar scene in comparing to Chandra here, I believe her point in the difference was because in JA, Jalal what completely stricken by guilt. And so his reaction was extremely intense as Jodha CANNOT die due to his mistake. Where in Chandra, there is no such guilt. It is only the fear of losing his most loved. Fear and guilt comes out different. My opinion on the scene differs. To me Nandini's resurrection and Chandra's short lived show of desperation was perfect. I did not want to see a Chandra who is speaking volumes and volumes in an attempt to bring her back to life. And as Aunty pointed out, Nandini will be fighting with him for she too wants to live with him unlike Jodha, who had the arrogance of having fulfflied her kartavya and wanting to let go of her life. It would have been out of sync for me, if Chandra was to do all the heaving duty of trying to bring her back to life. For he has no more reason for her to be alive then for her to wish to be alive and spend her days with him.I absolutely loved teh way he pushed away whatever meds that was on the bed, grabbed her and started to call her back from death. It was extremely real. There is no time to speak volumes as there is only one reason for him to tell her to come back...I love you and cannot live without you. Unlike Jalal who actually had to convince the stubborn female from brink of death. As much as I would like to see more of Rajat... my opinion is despite the sprinkling of dumb characters on whole the storyline is going good. I am a rather happy girl 😉

@bold: I completely agree you on this lavi. Its high time CVs buckled up. After Chandini's marriage (the first one) ...nothing has happened which can be termed as hard hitting ...though they had plenty of chances. So many major events took place but by the time you realize they are already over.I FULLY AGREE WITH YOU AISHWARYA AND ANNE, WHEN YOU SAY THAT THERE IS NO HIMT OF JALAL IN CHANDRAWHY SHOULD THERE EVEN BE?? THE TWO CHARACTERS ARE TOTALLY DIFFERENT IN BACKGROUND, UPBRINGING AND CIRCUMSTANCES ETC, SO THERE IS HARDLY A REQUIREMENT FOR SIMILARITYthere is..., it comes from ekta...things are bound to recycle. The scene where Jodha drinks poison is taken from Kasuti zindagi ki. So, while no matter how different the backdrop of a character is...he/she is bound to go through same circumstances, turmoils and hardships. look at the whole "mere paas hriday nahin hai" of chandra ...while" I don't believe in love" is still fine...this whole hriday saga is just a desperate attempt to redoing a jalal. What rajat is doing becomes more remarkable because he does that in ekta's world.AND I HAVE ALWAYS MAINTAINED THAT WHILE WE TALK ABOUT ACTORS WHO BRING OUT VARIETY IN ROLES OF DIFFERENT GENRES, RAJAT HAS EXCELLED IN BRINGING OUT THIS VARIETY WITHIN THE GENRE OF HISTORCIALS, AND WONDERFULLY AT THATALL I WANTED WAS THAT THE CVS HANDLE THIS SCENE WITH A SIMILAR SENSIBILITY AS IT WAS HANDLED IN JA, WITH THE HOPE THAT RAJAT GETS A FEW MINUTES TO COMPLETELY BOWL US OVER WITH HIS PERFORMANCE
Rajat got few minutes only lavi😡 Through out the man has given such a brilliant performance improvising just the right things at just the right time...and the editor edited them at just the ..oh! well right time...just for the sake of horribly moronic face of magadh waasisYES HE ALWAYS DOES THAT - BOWL US OVER REPEATEDLY, BUT YET THAT SCENE IN JA WAS ONE OF HIS SUPERIOR SCENES IN THE SHOWI don't get it...if your talking about the dargah scene then nothing like this happened in the show., so we can't really compare. And if it is about bringing her back from the clutches of death (though both of us agree she really wasn't dead😆) then I liked this one better. But i do agree...dargah one is alltogether on a different level..and at this point I don't really expect CN CVs of being capable of penning down something like that...so we will have to wait I guessAND OF COURSE, WHAT WE GOT WAS A SORT OF A BOTCHED UP AND HURRIED SCENE, WHERE NANDINI DYING ACTUALLY LOOKED LIKE A WRONG DIAGNOSIS BY THE VAIDYA 😆I FEEL CVS COULD HAVE TAKEN A LITTLE MORE TIME AND MADE IT A BETTER VISUAL EXPERIENCEWHEN SHWETA GETS EXTRA SCREEN SPACE AS BOTH NANDINI AND ROOPA, CVS SHOULD GIVE RAJAT TOO SUCH OPPORTUNITIES TO GET SOME XTRA SCREEN SPACE.
