Why the surprise???😆 All the polambals was because of the 70s heroine traits of Chandra - the below 80 IQ , starry eyed and too much of in and out of water.

UPDATE TO MY SUPPLEMENT AFTER TONIGHT'S REVELATIONS

Tonight we had one peach of an episode, which covered an amazing amount of ground, and that too with surprising clarity. And the best of all. Chandra came out of it smelling of roses.

It went exactly according to the Too good to be true segment in my supplement.

And Anu (anurao.66) needs a special prize. It was she who stressed the two "hunting for the book" scenes, and the drastic difference between the two Nandinis, as the factor most likely to have clinched the doppelganger explanation for Chandra, and she was spot on!👏

Chandra did it all on his own , sent Chanakya a message, whence his promise to Nand to get him his daughter, ie Roopa, and roped in Nandini from before the execution.

I had said in my main post that I felt he would have visited Nandini before the execution. That too happened, though I did not expect all that happened at that meeting. I also had an option of his eavesdropping on Sunanda and Roopa, but I slotted that in immediately after the execution, and that was of course off the mark

Also, tonight showed the huge advantage the CVs have over the viewers. They can pull a rabbit out of a hat any time they want to!

See, I analysed the options at great length, beginning from the question of how Chandra got to know that the double's name was Roopa. I could never have guessed that this info would come from Roopa herself pretending to be Nandini, and that it would be confirmed by Sunanda. So all the variations I deduced from this one question were nullified at one stroke!

I was also arguing that Chanakya would not have given that undertaking to Nand unless he had known about Roopa, and was planning to pass her off as Nandini. This was correct, but not the deduction I made from this: that it was a joint plan of Chanakya and Chandragupta. For the truth was quite different: it was a Chandra plan from the beginning, and Chanakya knew about Roopa only courtesy Chandra!

Even the smashing the wall with his dhai kilo ke haath was there, but the context was as different as could be, and no one, but no one, could make fun of it.

What we had tonight was a resounding boost for Chandra, even better than what I had hoped for. So I do not care that most of my supplement was rendered redundant, and I am delighted!

I loved that little bit where Chandra thinks to himself that he can sense the difference between Nandini and Roopa from his instinctive reaction to the person. His expression as he is looking at her then, with his hand resting snugly on her shoulder , is quite remarkable: soft, almost tender, with no overt romanticism in it, but a great sense of apnapan.

Equally charming was the moment when he clambers down into that secret room and looks at Nandini, and she smiles at him. As was the term - bholi- that Chandra uses for her when speaking to his Acharya. It is so affectionate and protective.

The two of them are now not only a team for this task, but for keeps. That much is very clear. But I am sure Nandini will find out at some intermediate point that Roopa is her sister, which will probably throw a spanner in the works, even if only temporarily.

As for Sri's apprehensions (see below), no, it won't. It was perfectly jointed, if there is such a word!😉 Nandini is sweet and supportive, not domineering and preachy. Sri, you have to shed this mahaanta fixation pronto! 😉

I loved the whole episode. Everything else apart, it was free of Daadi, Durdhara, Helena and Aapama. No wonder it was too good to be true!😆

Have seen today's episode just now on hotstar premium.

Too many loopholes. Disjointed scenes. Obvious glares.

I think this track will end in upping the Mahanta quotient of N finally, in a sense.

Of course, my poppet! How can I celebrate the triumph of Rajat's Chandra without Sri and you and Anjali and Lashy and Anne and Lavanya, and now Sarika and Sangeeta as well, as genuine Rajatphiles! Khushi too if she is around!

I have already ordered a cab to ferry you all safely back home in case the Moet Chandon, plus the high of the sudden resurrection of the Magadhanaresh, goes to your heads!😆

Frankly, I am what the French would call aux anges, ie with the angels. I had hoped for this, but would have settled for a half share with Chanakya, but Chandra came out tops all by himself. It is marvellous!

Do see my take on the whole, just above this.

Me too still recuperating. After a loo oo oo oong time Chandra looked like Magadh Naresh and not a cute little puppy bathing half the time. There is nothing like smarts that adds to the tejas and appeal of a person. Mere good looks fall miles behind.

Are we all invited to the Champagne party aunty???😎

No, my pet, they are no longer Nandini bhakts. At times, you have a cavalier disregard for the facts!😉

See, Mura did not react at all to the death sentence, nor did she bother about the execution. Durdhara is terminally and hysterically suspicious of Nandini now Helena hates her guts in any case.

It is thus not a question of Chandra declaring Nandini innocent and everything else be damned. He can do that, but he cannot force his family members to accept her and treat her well.

If Roopa does not confess publicly, ie before the royal family, no one will believe there was a doppelganger at all, for Chandra cannot produce Nandini and declare her to be as white as driven snow till this confession has been safely tied up. They will attribute Chandra's having rehabilitated Nandini (really Roopa) to his soft headedness where Nandini is concerned, and they will all boycott her and revile her at every opportunity.

Nandini cannot be resurrected and reinstated till her double has not only been exposed, but also proved guilty of all the misdeeds attributed thus far to Nandini. So the ghostie games are quite logical.

And Anne, I am dismayed at the carelessness of your explanation. You have to pull up your socks, my dear child, whether you wear socks or open-toed sandals!😉
