Yes ,Durdhara has been brainwashed.She is feeling somewhat insecure in magadh. She is barren till now . she cannot help Chandragupt..either politically or personally. Someone sensed her plight made her to do job.

Coming to Misunderstanding... Chandragupt always thought her to love malay. Right from first chapter.So,he always jumps into his favorite subject.. you still malay.. In few chapter back he was asking her questions of this sort.
Ye s Chandra did not judge properly. I accept that... He is going to repent for this crime.
Kings those days not only Chandragupt,but even Pandyan Maharaj did judgemental mistake when kovalan was executed. Later he realised his mistake when kannagi went to ask Justice.
Similarly Mahendravarama Pallavan threw Apparswamy into ocean when he was misled by some monks belonging to jain.
Kings those days were somewhat cruel... Even In Mahabhara Dharmaputra pledged Draupadi. THough it was not judgement,but Duryodan what he did with her we all know as a KIng..

My Chandragupt is not infallible,he makes mistake.

Shailu I have to thank you ... really for asking these questions.. I have just restructured my story chapter accordingly.
I assure everything will come out in coming chpaters. But again next chapter is quiet emotional. After that all questions regarding mus and plot will be revealed by our Acharya.

Chandragupt we all know he is a warrior,but has really no reasoning skills like his preceptor.

Avantika, one more point you could take care is where the criminal got the resources or access to huge quantities of herbs to poison a water well? Nandini is no expert in medicines or poisons. So some Vaid must have given or supplied to her in large quantities if she was supposed to poison an entire water well. Who is this Vaid? Moreover she must have in all probability paid the person. How did she pay him if she is accused of this crime?

And finally, that Suprat saw the lady throwing something into the water. If he was suspicious, why didn't he stop the children or other cattle from consuming this water and instead have it investigated before? So my assumption, the lady throwing the herbs is either Durdhara who has been convinced to do so on the pretext of some kind of Puja or tantric ritual in order to conceive or Nandini's mother Avantika, since she knows a lot about medicines and herbs.

If it is Avantika, I don't know why she would do this to her own daughter? One more doubt, if the lady was Durdhara, she wouldn't knowingly poison a water well like that. So the herbs, Durdhara threw might have been harmless, but the water could have been poisoned before itself, or later on after this incident happened?

At Kaushambi

Chanakya was discussing how to capture Malayketu,since they came to know that he has escaped into jungles.But Chanakya's visit was not in vein he managed to capture bigger gang of culprits.Someone Knocked the doors very fastly.Sangrava (pupil of Ck) who was with Chanakya at that time was surprised .

Sangrava " Acharya .. Who is this at this moment of hour.. "?

Chanakya asked his shishya Sangrava" Go and open the door"

Sangrava as he opened the door saw a messenger saying he wants to meet Chanakya on urgent issue.

Sangrave led the messenger to Chanakya .Messenger handed over the letter drafted by Helena.Chanakya hurridly opened the Parchment and read out loud

Dear Acharya.

Yehan Anarth ho raha hei aur nandini ko mrtiyu saja de diya Chandragupt ne. Mein kitni be prayas kiya.

She explained howNandini is accused of man slaughter and crop burning ,which I strongly detest. But all circumstantial evidence is against her and Durdhara too testified against her.She implored him to come quickly and act before it is too late

Chanakya started sweating and he gulped a glass of water .After that He asked messenger the details of the case.Chanakya was informed by the messengers of current developments.Chanakay almost shouted at top of his voice

"Nahi.. Ishwar yeh anarth hei... Nandini is innocent..."Ishwar yeh kaisa sankat diya.. Uttar adhikari janam lene samay yeh sabh ho gaya" "

He clapped for guards "bring that lady Mantara and her accomplice Shataroopa.LEts start quickly to Pataliputra.Even if we run from here ,it will take atleast 8 hours to reach Pataliputra.

Chanakya dratted some tears unknowingly. It surprised Sangrava.

His pupil never saw Chanakya crying .He asked " Acharya.. Ashroo... aph ke anko se"?

Chanakya"Mein be ek Pita tha.. Sangrav... Nandini meri hi putri saman he".

Both got ready soon along with real culprits,. They soon started their journey along with Culprits ,heavily escorted. Chanakya drugged the culprits so that they were sleeping,and cannot plan to escape while they were travailing.

At same time in Pataliputra

It was night and there was eerie in the atmosphere. There was heavy thunder and lightening in Pataliputra.All the citizens were asked to stay indoors.Curfew was imposed by Radhagupta since,Nandini is going to be executed,people should not cause any obstacles.

Chandragupt went to Prison where she was kept, some time earlier to visit her.Chandragupt looked at Nandini. She was calm and devoid of fear.As a true Warrior who never ever gets afraid of death. She was composed and did not plead life from him nor said anything about charges.What worried him more him was , her eyes. It was full of hate for him. He cannot expect anything else from her at least in this crisis.. Chandragupt asked "Whats is your last wish"?

Nandini wiped tears" Nothing.. I have no such desire... If you insist to ask,then I will ask for Hate.. Yes I hate you Chandragupt.. Not because you punished me or you snatched my titles.I hate your ignorance... Your love for me is only skin deep. So I cannot expect much better than that.. After all you did not find anyone to associate with me.Only Malay you found..Is it wrong to get engaged with someone.All these days you spent passionate times with me thinking that I loved him... "Fir.. tum apni hi patni par aisa arop kaise kar sakthe ho"bechari pet se hai"

Moora went to her room after piercing him with words sharper than swords. and as helpless he was, he cannot face his mother's sharp words..

Time was ticking away. Officials went to Prison.

Nandini was chained and was about to be taken to Ganges. All royal members including dasi were asked to stay in their rooms. It was pin drop silence. Outside there was severe storm raging with wind . All the lamps were flickering.

Nandini slowly escorted by heavy soldiers walked out of palace. She was wearing only saree and mangalsutra. Her ornaments were taken by the officials. She turned to see the Magadh Palace. There she saw Chandragupt standing fully dressed as King in the royal balcony .Nandini thought "Bye Chandragupt.. Hum fir se Ajnabhi ban jayenge ..."Her baby was kicking in her belly. She turned away and cried "Alas.. What crime did you commit.. Just because you chose to come in my womb or was It My Fault to be Nand's Daughter. No.. Its his mistake .. I wish I was died along with Hasini.

Chandra saw her crossing the gate and once she disappeared he went to his bedroom.Locked the chambers and switched off the lights.He sat in dark room.His face has no sense of guilt.

Nandini walked all the way up to river.All houses were so silent and even windows was closed. Street lamps was burning quiet brightly. She saw her Krishna temple . Perhaps it was first time in her life that she was crossing the temple without entering it.Time is mighty thing.If it goes against a person,thats all even one's shadow will leave him. She crossed all the mighty roads and market area .She cherished her memories associated with those places and smiled.

They reached Ganges bank in quarter of an hour.

Ganges was before her. Many times She has visited this Ganges at different stages of life. As a daughter,as a friend,as a sister in law and even as a Wife.She used to get water sick,when she sees the flowing river. But today ,She saw as though Goddess Ganga was waiting for her to take in her arms.
Her mother used to say how Ganga married Shantanu and killed all her sons with him,by drowning them in the river for removing those celestial born as human beings from curse. She thought How a mother can kill her own sons,jest she r knew,that her life along with her unborn child is going to end in more worst scenario.

Officials called the Boat man and he brought the boat ready within no time.

Nandini was asked to board a boat and a boat driver was instructed by the officials to take to middle of the river and push her into the river. Official asked "Anything ,,you want to convey to Maharaj"

Nandini wiping tears"Nothing... Let Magadh people be safe and secured.atleast after our death pointing to her belly ."

They signaled the boatman to leave. Officials saw the boat,within matter of minutes it reached the middle part of the highly ferocious Ganga.

Boatman" Devi.. Say your Prayers.. I will give you 3 minutes to think about Lord. May be in next birth you may live to ripe old age.. I am feeling sorry for your unborn child since my wife is also carrying. By the way What mistake you committed Devi"

Nandini" thanks for your sympathy. ! looks like You are more broad minded than our king at least you have heart to feel for me .. yes I committed an heinous crime called Love . I loved always wrong persons and trusted them They used me for their gains ...Cruel world of men...Forget it..!

she asked Boatman "whats your Name"

MY name is Govind.Devi

Nandini"Govind... yes it is an Epithet Of My Krishna.. protector of cows.
She closed her eyes and lifted her arms up above her head and cried in her mind

"hey Govind Krishna... Take me to your feet. I bow to thee.. I have lost everyone's mercy,but still I know you will always be for me...Krishna Rakshamam Sharanagati(Krishna Please save me.. I surrender to your holy feet"

Officials saw Nandini being drowned from bank. Soon ,they all left thinking she died since there was almost no ripples and boatman waved that she was pushed. Officials were also very sad .They knew her since she was a toddler.They could not help her,except to see her tragic end.they cursed their fate to see some one killed.

Officials went to Chandragupt and narrated the event. They gave her jewelries she was wearing and her last words. Chandra took it without any reaction .

Next Morning

Chandragupt did not sleep or eat anything previous night. He came to his room after taking bath First to catch his attention was books of nandini . He got irritated and.Turning to Dasi... I don't want any trace of nandini in this room..and he summoned Avantika

Avantika came to his room . Her face was pale and looks indicated that she did not eat anything since yesterday noon. Chandragupt showed her things belonging to Avantika.

" Ma.. Ap jo chahiye apni putri ki cheez le jaiye ,.. Agar ap yehan chod gayi to filhal apko kabhi nahi milega.

Avantika cried "Maharaj... Muje kuch nahi chahiye,,Muje bas meri beti chahiye.. uski santan chahiye.Yeh sabhi ap kuch bi karle muje koi antar nahi"

Avantika words pinched somewhere down his heart.He gestured dasi to take Avantika to her room soon Dasi took her out .

Chandragupt called another maid "Dasi take all these and throw it out of my sight"

When he left the room,Helena came and took all the belongings left by Nandini and carefully sealed in a room."I know Nandini.. You must be alive...".she thought and shredded few tear drops. Helena did not want her to die at this state of hers.

Chanakya too returned from Kaushambi. There was unusual silence in the City as well as Palace. He understood,Nandini's chapter got over. He was very angry on Chandragupt.No one was there to even welcome him .Chanakya went to his room. Helena once she came to know Chanakya,she went to meet him and cried retelling about how nandini was framed .

"Helena.. Nandini is not guilty"

Turning to Dasi "Bring Samrat to me at once".

He called Chandragupt to his room. Chandragupt reached in a jiffy to his room.

"pranam Acharya" Chandragupt saluted him.

Chanakya " Muje Acharya mat kaho. yehi siksha bodhit kiya kya meneNandini.. kOi padi hui cheez nahi hei? Woh Is Magadh ko uttatadhikari dene vali thi?Kya tum kuch der aur pratiksha nahi kar sakte.. aise kya apati agai tumhare upar..

"Acharya.. me koi anuchit nahi kiya.Kya pata woh meri hi varis dene wali thi ya"Chandra said firmly.

"If it was anyone else,I could have chopped their tongue?Chanakya with louder voice

"Mene jo suna,wahi bol raha" Chandragipt without any emotion

"Putra.. whatever you hear,cant you try to find truth. Even she committed any mistake cant you wait until I come. Ok,atleast cant you hold the sentence till baby is born. Aisi Kya apathi agaya ki tum tumhari dimag ko chod diya Ganga par dhoobne ke liye"?Ab dekhekenge.Tumne kitne uchit kiya.

Chanakya called Radhagupt. He entered the room and saluted the Acharya

Radhagupt sabh Magadh wasiyon ko goshit kar do ke aj shyam Maharaj aur mahamatya unse Bhent karenge" looking at Chandragupt,Chanakya instructed his student Radhagupt

Chanakya summoned people's representative and all magadh wasi for a open meeting.Helena casted very angry look on Chandragupt.

"tum ko Ishwar hi dand denge.. itni ghrina tumhare man par kab se thi...Chandra"?

Same day in evening

All royal members came to the arena. Durdhara was over guilty,but more than that she was afraid of Chanakya. She knew she will be caught for her betrayal.She was not sure whether Vrishali said her name or not.

Chanakya addressed the gathering and brought Vrishali from prison and made her speak. Along with her lined up were Mantra, Few prison officials, a dasi, Shataroopa , and Chandragupt was shocked to see Shataroopa,who was looking like Nandini and Suprat.

Chanakya : Say before public what is your name

Vrishali : My name is Vrishali. Iam mistress of Parvartak. I come from Uttarameru nagari.
Chanakya :Why did you defame Nandini ?

Vrishali : I was acting on the jest of Parvartak. They want Magadh,so instead of war,we wanted to create Political Unrest in Magadh. My grandmother Mantra escaped last week when Chandragupt Mahraj came to arrest us. She was hiding in a house behind the Krishna temple. Later ,she saw queen Nandini dressed in a civilian dress wandering in the street.Upon seeing her closely,she found that It was a look Like of Nandini named Shataroopa. We made her accomplice to crime.which we planned . Shataroopa accepted our plan as we paid her handsome amount .Some officials of Prison whom we lured with jewels and Alcohol.allowed mantra to meet us without getting anyone suspecting us.So we used this trick. We wanted to defame Nandini,because as long as she was with him.she foils all our attempts somehow or other by her stupidity.She only gave him hint that we were from Parvartak also she foiled the Nand's attempt on Vasanth utsav. We needed to weed her out. To achieve we wanted to defame her before public,so that they would ask King to banish her. If King banishes her, we will kill him easily as nandini is will not be there to alert him else even if King did not forsake pregnant queen,still it can be used to create unrest saying he supports queen over welfare of magadh. It is an indeed win win situation for us.

we made Shataroopa to come to flower square upon learning that Maharaj will be coming in disguise to that area last week, We made Shataroopa dressed like Nandini and made her to confess that she loves malayketu and not Maharaj. But we were not sure whether he saw it or not.We did not get any hint as he was still close to Nandini.May be he did not believe it to be Nandini.

So We arranged two dasi to gossip when maharaj was coming in corridor as Maharani Nandini still loves malay when maharaj is out,she is sending him letters .They even met once in awhile when he was away to Hindukush ". This time he listened ,and was quiet upset. as we expected he started spying her unknowing to her. He had doubts on her yet he was normal with her.

Chandragupt was alarmed,how Vrishali gets to know his mind,he slapped her but Chanakya controled him .Chanakya frowned at Chandra and said then

To make an strong dislike for Nandini in Maharaj mind we terribly needed a stronger plot. We had a Dasi,lured into our trick she came and stole mahrani's anklets and signets. We made it to plant evidence against Nandini..We made Shataroopa dressed like Nandini and even we made her look pregnant. She went deliberately before the villagers when they were returning from work. Suprat was also hand in glove with us .He made villagers to come in that path at that time when Shataroopa was wandering.While She poisoned the well,Mantara kept fire. Due to Chaos and Confusion, Suprat easily made unsuspecting villagers believe that Nandini behind this. Later ,Mantara planted the jewelry before Villagers came to inspect the field. These people were simply foolish . If a person says anything in a nice sugar coated words,they take it as Veda Vakya. We exploited and Maharaj was also so foolish and he deep down the heart still hated nandini because she is daughter of Nand.

Vrishali confessed that she insisted mantara to do all the crimes on behest of Malay.Helena came and Slapped Vrishali for her crime. Vrishali "Patrani..its not us.. its your Maharaj who helped us.. He is so vunerable"

Helena a=looked at Chandra who was looking at the ground. Helena did not react because she did not wanted to create scene before Praja. She hates him now.

There was uproar in the crowd."Vrishali ko hum dhand denge.MOb stone pelted on Vrishali."

But Chanakaya cleverly managed the outrage after assuring that they along with Suprat ,Shataroopa and mantra will be executed before public. Chanakya further said hereafter He himself will deliver Judgment future for all cases. And he asked Forgiveness . Anyway,public left as nothing much can be done now Since Nandini is already Dead.Prisoners were sent to darker prison cell.

Chanakaya turning to Chandra "Nandini Is innocent its proved without any doubt. Let her rest in peace. But I cannot forgive you...Chandra.Deko tumhari ek bhool se aj Praja tumhari ek bhi sunne ko tayar nahi.Taras ah raha hei muje tumhari bhool aur gathiya soch par.Tum Pati Hone ke layak nahi.Ache shashak ho tum " Without looking into his face he left the arena

.Helena Came to Chandragupt"How many times I could have pleaded to wait.. Now suffer... Hereafter I am your wife only when we meet outside ,inside my room we are two strangers who hate to see each other. May nandini's soul rest in peace.Who knows Tomorrow I may be a prostitute.because even I loved Malay some years ago.SHe left with a angry face

Chandragupt was crying very badly about injustice he did to Nandini.Now he had lost all love and support of his Family.

Durdhara's room

Chanakya went to meet Durdhara.there he saw .Durdhara was crying .Durdahra was pregnant but she did not declare it to Chandra.He spoke to her

"Ma banne wali hona Durdhara"

"Acharya..apko kaise gyat hei"

Chanakya "Mujhe sab gyat hei.. kaise tumhe Vrishali ne behlaya aur tum beh gay"

Durdhara cried

"Stop those dratted tears.. Dont think I did not find your hands in the plan. I knew,you were in their plan. Vrishali confessed to me in private before myself and Helena ,That It was you who brought her jewels .Parantu Mein aur Helena use Tumhari nam ki jagah Dasi ka Nam bolne ko kaha. Isliya tum surakshit ho

Isiliye nandini ko tum marg se hata diya.Magadh ke liye uski bahvishya raja ke liye tumhe mukt karta hoon kash nandini bi tumhe dand dena nahi chahegi..parantu Kshama nahi kiya...Mujhe pata nahi ab kya hoga...

After a week.

Barsana (a village near Vrindavan,Mathura)

Nandini opened her eyes and saw she was lying in a cot in a small hut. It seems after all Lord Krishna had other plans,how can he not save his innocent Devotee.The room was very simple as though its owner were not very rich. It had a idol of Lord Krishna and lamp was lit before him. Smell of Agarbathi added a divine flavor to that room

She did not understand where she was and immediately she touched her belly to see if her child is healthy.She felt the movements.After that she remembered the fateful day. That night ,the boat man was about to ask her to stand ,when from nowhere a lightening appeared in the river and Boatman saw Nandini's face

.Boatman first time saw her face and clearly recognized her and said " Devi Nandini.. Do you know me .. You saved me from your father when he was about to kill me.for small mistake. Do you remember.

Nandini nodded her head saying no."

Fine.. there is no time left for that thoughts. Time to repay my debts for you.See Devi.. here there is no light l.Officials cannot really know whether you jumped or not.. I will row to that point wHere depth of river is very less speed also manageble,and you can swim easily since you are an excellent swimmer. Just Stand and when I say Devi,just duck ... I will throw this Sack of Sand . Officials are too sleepy,to identify this.

Nandini : But why you want to save me?Officials will catch you if you row there

Boatman. Dont worry. I have grew up my life in this river. From such long distance and with no lighting they cannot locate us even I row . They all are tired and sleepy. so they wont care.Devi time is running You have to thank that boy who from nowhere dropped this sack in my boat and disappeared before I catched him . Looks like he is very Lord who wanted me to save you. Devi hurry up please. If any mistake happens , I will be hanged. Moment you enter the river,you have to swim,for I cannot help beyond that.

Saying so. Nandini stood up and when she ducked ,Boatman threw sack of sand. It was all in nick of time,so that from distant it appeared nandini was pushed.

bOatman" Devi.. take care and he went off"

Boatman reached the bank and reported.He was correct,sleepy officials did not care to verify facts.

She entered the river and boatman to went since he cannot overstay,as it may invite him trouble.Nandini felt very tired and she was drowning. But she felt some tender hand was holding her hands and Saying"nandini.. Don't worry... I will save you I will save you.you have to live for sake of your child. Come on swim swim.. EVerything is possible swim nandini.you cannot give up".She tried to see who it was and but cannot see clearly.Is it real or illusion she could not differentiate She did not remember what happened next..

One old couple came inside and asked how is she.?

She asked "Who are they..is it Magadh.. what day is this"

Couple introduced "I am Devadutt and she is my Dharma patni Subhadra. this Sharavan mas and you are in Radharani's birthplace Barsana.you are safe here.

We were on pilgrimage to Kashi,while returning we visited Pataliputra and were travelling near Ganga. Some boy of aged 10 years sporting a Peacock feather and Dhothi face resembling like a fully blown lotus came before our cart and alerted that somebody who is pregnant is lying unconscious. We went there to find you in that state.Since I myself a physician we checked your pulse and was happy to find that you and your baby was doing fine.

That boy insisted us saying She is unsafe in Magadh take her to your house.We were reluctant to do because We thought your family may search you. The Boy laughed "For that still lots of time is there. You take care of her. He helped you inside the cart and alas he disappeared.when we tried to thank him. Myself and my wife were waiting when will you come to conscious.Daily My wife checks your baby . Your baby is fine. But you are weak. you have to take lots of food and rest
