No, no, Amina my dear, he was perfectly serious about the talaq from Ruqaiya in the Tasneem track. I hung in there till the very end, convinced that he had a Plan B to salvage the situation thru some clever twist, as in the case of the Ratanpur Qila, but he had nothing. It was a huge letdown for me, and so many others.

Jalal was made to look like a fool, all for lack of a non-retroactive clause in the new law, something that is standard practice, for it is against natural justice to make any new law retroactive. And all this to make out that Jodha Begum was oh so clever!😡

My dear Anil,

Welcome back! I am so pleased that you enjoyed this 9+ pager,😉 and if you have the time, do take a look at the previous one too, Dawnbreak, if only to see why I was so chuffed up then!

Yes, the Takshashila track was delightful, though not as much as the Badal-Kajri one, which I really loved. And the Mathura parallel suggests itself at once, but this is not Mathura, thank the Lord! I hated that track the most, especially Jodha's behaviour once Jalal reveals himself to be alive and kicking. That bhashan was one of her worst.

Luckily, Nandini is very different, and seems far more like a real person. I never thought it possible, but she is beginning to grow on me of late.

Thank you for your wonderful analysis.

I have been traveling for the last three weeks, often without any Internet, so now trying to catch up all of those episodes.

The Takshila track reminded me of Badal-Kajri from JA, another short-lived delightful episode. Of course, those who knew how to spoil that one managed to ruin this one too.

I guess, from "Badal-Kajri" we are now moving on to "Mathura". 😊

More later.

My dear Sarika,

What a very flattering and poetic compliment, my dear! It was beautiful and I loved it.

I am also glad that you enjoyed not just the whole, lo...ong post, but also the concluding segment about that wonderful scene of Chandra's with Chanakya. I think it was exceptionally good, and as I wrote here, I set very high standards for Rajat, and 95% of the time he meets them.

Aunty,

Your analysis is as magnificent as always. The forum misses your write ups like the desserts miss the rain.
Apart from the tremendous take on the whole episodes last 2 weeks I would really really love and like the way you have describe the scene between Chandra and Chanakya at the last part of your post. for me , that was the best scene of Rajat that I've driven to re-watch it again and again 😳 and your detailed explanation made the scene more delightful. Wonder boy and you, aunty, make the finest combo witch gives us the best!!!

And hope you are back with good health. Please Take Care.

You must be right about the potli, my dear Amina, and Chandra must have brought that stuff and the mudra back with him.

It is not just that Nandini now has no ego where he is concerned. It is also that she sees that bag of mudra as something of his given to her, a memento, that she wants to keep forever. That is really why she does not refuse to take it.

But his behaviour then is so atrocious that I wanted to clout him. What kind of man would do this to his wedded wife, asking her to leave her home for good in the middle of the night? What if she had been carried off by bandits and sold as a slave? And he has the gall to stand around later arguing with himself that he had done the right thing.

Not just that, later, when he is faced with daadi's demand for Nandini, he exclaims with exasperation that she should have left in the morning!😡He deserves to be kicked with hobnailed boots all the way to Takshashila for such despicable behaviour.

Nandani has no ego nor unwanted pride thats what i like about her how she took the mudra he gave her

She told avantika during her vivahh to marry some one you need to respect that person ever since she knew the other side of chandra she started to respect him and here too she doesnt argue much but to me thats now how a queen should have left the palace
Aunty i think she has few pustake in her potli

@bold... aunty at the moment I really couldn't hold my nerve and want to smack chandu's head in anger.. I was like hello mahnnn, you yourself told your wife to leave the palace at the mid of night and you are expecting her to wait their for morning?!😕😕...Any woman with dignity and self respect won't be doing so... this chandu 2 is seriously heights of dumbness sometimes...

My dear Ria,

It is so nice to have you back! I hope you had a pleasant holiday in the hills, though it might have been very cold over the New Year.

I am so glad that thanks to my last post, you were inspired to watch the Takshashila track episodes. See how wonderful they were, and what a pity it would have been if you had missed them!

Yes, Nandini is improving rapidly of late, and I am growing to like her a great deal, something that I would never have believed possible! Even last night and tonight, when Chandra comes up to her suddenly and says that he cares for her, the look in her eyes speaks volumes. There is a kind of suppressed shock and even anger, but also a dawning hope that maybe this is true. It was very well done. I think she will continue to improve steadily and will eventually merit comparison with a Saradindu heroine.

Like you, I too enjoyed the joint swordfighting scene, and as I had mentioned in the post, Nandini fights cleanly and well.

And don't worry about the Jodha Akbar comparisons, for I have by now realised that one simply cannot stop them, and I have given up on my earlier attempt to do so!😆

The Roopa track is now going to be launched, and poor Chandra is going to be in a worse mess than ever!😉

well aunty.. here is my two sent after your wonderful analysis as always...😳😳... well thanks to your post that I took the effort to re-watch the eps I missed during my dun trip... otherwise I was highly disappointed as I switched on to CN after coming back from trip as the irritation MU track was going on and chandra 2 was on action😆😆 ... Its only after reading your posts I took the effort to check the takhsilla tracks which were pure delight to watch... You are absolutely right when you pointed out that chandra and nandini makes a handsome pair nowdays... and also delighted to watch the gradual and winderful growth in both shweta's acting and nandini character... from an irritating pita maharaj ki putri she is growing up to the level of matured woman... yeah no doubt her silence on chandra's accusation latter made me feel irritation again but as she has come a long way in both character and acting wise, she is much bearable to me now and I am actually looking forward to her scenes... to see how her self realiation turns her into a better sensible person... rather than the much awaited love story I am willing to see the growth of nandini as character, the girl who gave me the vibe of saradindu heroine at the very first promo...

and her character growth by far.. though by tidbits wonderfully handled... from takhshila track I adored the last eps while chandra and nandini were coming back from ashram and the following incident... though it gave me the full on vibe of the particular JA eps where Jallal got injured by tiger and letter on... But here I loved the fact that they didn't make nandini do such foolish thing like they did with jodha begum.. (secretly emptying the gun shell so that sahenshah can't kill the animals😆😆... most LOL scene for me... I watched that eps recently on youtube... sorry in advanced if I did something wrong fetching out the similarities btwn shows...)...anyway i loved the whole eps somehow more than its previous nemesis...😛😉... specially I had to mention the sword fighting scene where chandra nandini fought together against malay's men... they both looked quite impressive and so good in the whole scene and finally a very well executed fight scene in CN without any laughable vfx effect... some two years before there was a historical show on and tv which compromises such a wonderful sword fighting seq without much vfx and only on well done stunts by actors...( i sometimes wonder that when the actors in our industry are much capable to do the thing on their own strength why we need to make the things laughable using poor vfx... 😕)... that was my still fav... and this added to in queue...😎

and about the recent hullabalos of MU track... well I have nothing much to say as you already penned down the frustration of viewer's mind... all we can do is now hope that CV's brain got some really good thing for future... 😆
