This daadima is like Thiruppu's grandma in "Michael Madana Kamarajan"..

Aunty.

I don't know if any of you share this sentiment, but I don't find her cute, interesting or enjoyable. Obviously she is there just as an excuse for C and N to be stuck together. Other than that i have not notice her dishing out even an ounce of wisdom to either of the lovestruck couple

Found myself gritting my teeth in the scene where she asked if she can come in (where Chandra out of the blue announces to Nandini that he likes/loves her). For a woman who was so sick that Chandra had to go Nandini lest he wants his granny to die, she seem to come around much faster than a 6 year old.

What a post 👏

I agree with everything you wrote, especially the two versions of Chandra - impeccably defined 😆

This man is becoming way too schizophrenic to understand. Where one Chandra is humble, noble and a true gentleman, the other one is not even a shadow of his original self. Chandra-2 is curt and obnoxious, and God knows for how long he'll "live" to torture Nandini and the rest of us.

Although, I must acknowledge, Rajat is doing a fantastic job playing both, and I love him...always have, always will 😳❤️

My question here goes to the writers.

Isn't it rather hard to believe that the great Chandragupta Maurya would be naive enough to fall for these silly antics of Helena, Apama and our classic conman Malayketu? Okay, maybe once...twice...but for how long?

Why, CN's Chandra has pretty much forgotten his original mission: slaying Padmanand and annexing the entire country to create Akhand Bharat. All this, just so he can torment an already emotionally tormented Nandini? He doesn't even try to investigate once, such is his intense conviction in Malayketu (of all people!) Sweet 🤢

The thing is, Sandhya, that this seems to be a habit with her.

Plus, on an issue touching her personal reputation, her virtue, NO woman will tell such a lie no matter what the circumstances. And it was not even as though Chandra was holding a knife to her mother's throat!

Nandini was very stupid in this matter, and there are no two ways about it.

Plus, it is goofy of her to attribute Chandra's accusation re: her and Malayaketu to his having fallen for Helena now. What does that have to do with his accusing her? He does not owe her any explanations for favouring Helena, so why need he look for any such excuse for maligning Nandini? This idea is even nuttier than her disastrous false confession.

Thank you so much, my dear (could I have your real name, if you do not mind it?).

I am very pleased that you liked this one so much. Do take a look at the next, which is up just now. I will PM you about it. As for your comments, I agree with in toto.. But such in the invariable fate of these pseudo-historical serials.

Shyamala Aunty (or whatever is age appropriate, given that I am 69!)

Well, I had better consult him first, the poor chap, before handing him over to your tender mercies, you imp! And warn him in advance about what he might be getting himself into as well!😉

My dear Viji

I am so sorry to be very late with this one, but here I am at last!

I am in agreement with so many of the points you have made here that I have very little to add to your post. I too grind my teeth so often while watching this show that my dentist must be delighted with Ekta!😆

I don't think you have read my latest, Turbulent Tides, as yet, nor my mini post on Episode 76 on page 4 of the same thread. Do give them a try; the first is very different in tone and substance from this one, and the latter was meant as a course corrector to dispel too much doom and gloom!

The CVs continue on their zigzag path, but last night, the Chandra and Nandini scenes took a sudden turn for the better, and were actually, if totally inconsistently, delightful. This pair works very well together, which bodes well for the future.

As for my RA, sometimes I think I write these posts, unless a sudden spike immobilises me for a week or more, partly to take my mind off the nagging pain.

Hello Shyamalaji 👍🏼

For all your efforts in contributing here inspite of your arthritic pain is really commendable. 👏

Have to admit your patience in describing even some (if not all) crappy senseless scenes made me reply here on your thread, probably first time here in this show. 😆

What can i contribute here, other than agree with whatever you have rightly put in. Loved your poems too.

Many scenes, for me are deja vu - either i have seen them in Jodha Akbar or other social serials from Ekta's staple. Many are recycled and am also huffing and puffing llke Rajat.

I expect a normal show where, the leads slowly fall in love, instead of back and forth "ghrina"ing 😔 for sometime and "prem"ing lecture and self-talk for sometime... am literally gnawing my teeth, already my dentist is telling me to wear some dental-caps / covers in the night to lessen ware & tare 😃

There is no continuity as suddenly, we see both CN being nice to each other, then, sudden turn by Chandra especially against Nandini by just hear-say of Helena vamp. Like you mentioned, this Multiple Personality disorder type of scene is a major put-off for me too.

Shweta basu seems to have improved in her performance a bit and am continuing to watch this show for Tokas.

Dont' understand why Chetan Hansraj's Malayaketu seems to be a wasted part. He is literally towering over his ladies and nothing much to do except gritting his teeth to kill Chandra, have Nandini and rule Magadh. These are the only dialogues he repeats over and over. Poor guy, he had a better and stronger character in JA.

Dont' have much of opinion about others for now. Dont' want to say the same things that others have opined in this thread which I agree too.
