Even I felt the same. Though am sure Chanakya and Chandra are clever enough to decipher this out.. And am sure Chanakya knows it

But only if he knew that it was not possible at least when chanakya's brain is behind chandra.

Chandra ne Helena se kha tha uski sena malay ko khoz rhi h ( for Helena's revenge )
So maybe possible chandra ne malay ko pakad kiya ho or fir wahi malay ka melodrama muje mat maro me tumhare liye kuch bhi karunga and then chankya planned this
