True Aunty, you were the only one who didn't believe or subscribe to the detachment and forgiveness theory. But then Aunty your judgement is always a class apart and sans-pareil! I was hoping that some of the others would latch on to it and not take things at face value. I am definitely not the CV of CN bound by the rules and logic of the TRP game. I can give my stuff without compromising on my story or characters.

All? None of you? Don't count me in this multitude, my dear, or I shall be forced to protest strongly!

I did not buy this line of thinking, which was why I wrote: I cannot imagine Chandragupta achieving a state of such detachment vis a vis his murderous bride.

I loved the Sisupala-Krishna parallel. More tomorrow, in my reserved slot.

Yes he wants her alive at the present moment but his murderous intentions are very much there. Hence he prevents her from slow starving herself to death but at the same time keeps a count of her mistakes.

You surprised me di...👏👏👏

Never thought it would come in this way but am very happy with chandra's attitude...😃

I think there was a clue in previous chapter in form of that scene where chandra said , " Agar tum margayi iske karan toh mere paas toh tumhe dene ke liye ashroo tak nahin hain " .

Hi Shailaja :) We haven't interacted till date but I remember Shyamala aunty asking me to read your analytical posts. I kept forgetting to do so because my memory is as good as that of Dory in Finding Nemo😳😆. But when I tentatively ventured into the forum to check if aunty had put up a fresh post, I saw this thread and dimaag ki batti jali on seeing your username😆.

I need to give a disclaimer first. I don't read stories online. I need a book in my hand to be able to enjoy a tale😆. But I did happen to go through the two parts you've posted, and though I'm no expert on story writing, I feel you've done a great job👍🏼. It is clear you have invested deep thought into the story and characters. That by itself is highly appreciable. The story's flavour is strengthened by a sincere compassion for the characters, which indicates an innate awareness of the frailties of human nature. And there is a simplicity in the narration that is quite appealing. Well done :)

You don't have to check the forum to see whether I have put up a new post, Ranjana, you imp, all you have to do is to wait for the PM. I have been more tired than usual, and somehow did not feel like writing anything at all for a week. I hope to bestir myself and clear the backlog over the weekend.

I am glad you got here, and pleased that you enjoyed this one. It is a very promising narrative, and I am now looking forward to the Grand Revelation of pitamaharaj's true nature to his priya putri.

Thank you Ranjana. I'm glad you liked this one. I have read a number of your posts on Aunty's thread. You have a way with words and the way you play with them looks like pure wizardry at times. Anyways it was a pleasure personally interacting with you.

@Shyamala aunty - Ismein mere bechaare dil ka koi kasoor nahi hain, aunty 😔 With the threat of being chopped from your PM list dangling over my dense head like the sword of Damocles, I had bravely braced myself for a future of sneaking into the forum to look for your posts, furtively clicking the 'like' button, and tiptoeing out with the air of a persecuted saint 😒😆 But your words have put fresh heart into me! I shall wait eagerly for your PM :D But yes, please don't tax yourself, and be as kind as possible to your poor fingers.

@Shailaja - You have a natural bent towards writing. With just a little more polishing, your work can shine! Keep up the good work :) and thank you for saying such sweet things about my silly posts :)

Saint? Aur tum? Now this I have got to see ! (Apologies to Aryan in Dhoom 2). Tumse bhidke to shaitaan bhi darke bhaag jaaye!😆

And in any case a persecuted saint never tiptoed out. He/She plonked himself/herself squarely in front of the persecutors, and proceeded to do even more persecutable (sic) things so that he/she could end up in an El Greco, complete with a long, tortured face!

😆😆 You've got the measure of me, aunty 😉😆. Despite the golden halo that rests comfortably atop the horns, there is a tiny possibility I might not qualify as a persecuted saint🤔😒😆. But that does not stop me from frequently putting on the airs of one😉😆. Btw I looked up El Greco's paintings of saints. I would not want to be featured in one of those😳😆.
